Good point.  Pitching and defense get left holding the bag in 7-6 type of losses, but when it's 3-2 you have to spread the blame around more evenly.

Can't say i approve of Twins management getting involved with that, but if they're going to distribute it then it should probably be a reward for good play instead.

My wife is figuring out baseball and she asked if this kind of thing was normal and wonders how I'm able to deal with it.

I've always believed that when you're in a situation where one run ends the game and there's a runner on third, you make sure there is a force on every base.
