[Hosken Bombo Disco]

Wow what an outing by Milone. Some craftiness mixed in with some line drive luck.

CBU: 2-1 Good Guys, after six.

[USAFChief]

In play, run(s) please.

[USAFChief]

I didn't see any definitive replay, did anyone else?

[DiscGolfer]

His toe caught the corner of the bag

[Hosken Bombo Disco]

Leadoff man retired in bottom of 7th

To continue with the KC bullpen cliche, trying to hold a one run lead in the 7th against KC is almost like trying to hold that lead in the 9th but giving KC 9 outs to score instead of 3 outs.*

*not exactly, but whatever

[Hosken Bombo Disco]

Quick inning for Boyer, actually. Good job.

In play, run(s) please

[Blake]

At the end of this game, I want to be able to say: "Guthrie pitched just well enough to lose."

[David HK]

2 good starts tonight.  Now a battle of the bullpens.  I feel like it's Jack Palance against Don Knotts...  but hey, it's baseball, there's still hope.

[USAFChief]

It would be nice if Mauer didn't start every other AB with 2 strikes.

[USAFChief]

Fien?

[Craig Arko]

Fien?

Ellen.

[diehardtwinsfan]

Nice night by Sano I see.  Providing what the offense needs.  Let's close this out!

[Hosken Bombo Disco]

We badly badly need a lefty reliever for situations like that.

[DiscGolfer]

Too bad Morales couldn't do that for us last year

[sampleSizeOfOne]

Didn't we score off Holland last night?

Can we do that again?

[David HK]

I'm not in Bark's league, but-  battle of the bullpens, not even close.

Twins on the left, of course.

Seem Malone just doesn't have much help from the pen.

[David HK]

I dunno, do you go with Perk in the 9th?

[David HK]

Seem Malone just doesn't have much help from the pen.

NOBODY gets help from this pen.

[Blake]

Much as I'd like to malign Fien, that hit by Morales was luck more than anything. Proverbial dying quail.

[David HK]

Swear to god, I wouldn't mind seeing Pelf in the pen for times like this.  It would suck for him, but, man, there are just no good options out there.

[curt1965]

This is where it hurts to have Thompson as one of the relievers. Big series and he has one less option to use. Game in July counts the same as one in September.

[Blake]

Yay bullpen.

[Hosken Bombo Disco]

One word sums up this situation:

Dire.

[David HK]

I just.....  I had to type out how speechless I am.  Is that a conundrum or contradiction, or a dilemma, or what?

[LaBombo]

Not to detract from the drama, but how lucky are you as the Royals manager when Infante comes to the plate tied in the ninth with the bunt in order so you don't have to pinch hit for an "All Star"?

[David HK]

Maybe it's just another one of those riddles, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma...

[DiscGolfer]

welcome to the bigs rook

[stocker08]

Wow!!!  Didn't see that coming.  Extra innings, fellas.

[sampleSizeOfOne]

Yay bullpen.

Concur.

And yay Hicks' outfield assist unto the 10th inning.
