To continue with the KC bullpen cliche, trying to hold a one run lead in the 7th against KC is almost like trying to hold that lead in the 9th but giving KC 9 outs to score instead of 3 outs.*

Much as I'd like to malign Fien, that hit by Morales was luck more than anything. Proverbial dying quail.

Swear to god, I wouldn't mind seeing Pelf in the pen for times like this.  It would suck for him, but, man, there are just no good options out there.

This is where it hurts to have Thompson as one of the relievers. Big series and he has one less option to use. Game in July counts the same as one in September.
