sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Terrible run down executionI wish Santana could have gotten out of it in the end, but he ended up settling for the out. Oh well. At least he got on.
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 I'd say it's one of the best songs of all time that is named after a sub par city. Not sure how you missed this one. Riverbrian, USAFChief and sampleSizeOfOne 3

jimmer Verified Member Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 (edited) Richard and Bert blaming Santana being picked off on Dozier. Good grief. Before that, they were making excuses for Hunter if he didn't plate Santana. Again, the blame went to Dozier. They act as if Dozier would have definitely succeeded if he attempted to do something selfless to move Santana. He's one of our best hitters and it's early in the game. Let's preach giving away outs and doing so very early in the game. Especially from one of our best bats, if not our best bat currently. Edited July 3, 2015 by jimmer stringer bell 1
ashbury Verified Member Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Players are creatures of habit and many are superstitious. I, for one, always wore #6 or #16. A ridiculous comfort level thing that makes no sense looking back (like many superstitions and beliefs in, and about, the game) but was a thing in my mind in the first half of my life.I chose #32, Koufax's number, when I played slow-pitch softball. I wasn't a pitcher, but I still anticipated many no-hit games for myself. Circus Boy, glunn, David HK and 3 others 6
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Strike zone tonight so far has been the size of a pinhole. I'm not sure you can fit a baseball through it. EDIT: though Gibson's half of the 3rd went well for us. And that's your GCU: your Gary Cederstrom Update.Somehow I don't think that will catch on glunn 1

JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Long distance phone call? What year is this? l still make long distance phone calls from my landline. You get 2 or 3 hours a month with your regular bill. Regardless of everything, the sound quality on my landline is far superior to ANYTHING I've ever heard on a cell. Plus less chance of interception. I'm a dinosaur. glunn and Riverbrian 2

ashbury Verified Member Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Putting too much pressure on the kid batting him sixth. Molly should have him ninth. We have too many #9 hitters, for that. glunn, Platoon, Riverbrian and 2 others 5

stringer bell Verified Member Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Bert has been preaching get 'em over, get 'em in for years. Maybe if it was the 6th or 7th against the Royals because of their BP. Outs are too precious to give up to try to get a runner to third with one out. The percentage of getting a run with a runner on third and one out isn't that high anymore anyway. Hosken Bombo Disco 1

stringer bell Verified Member Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Pretty nice play by Mauer. It's actually the kind of play he's hesitated on too often.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Big at-bat early in the game. Perez is a good hitter, but Gibson has handled him well.
