USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Do we have a triple play we're saving for now?ftfy
Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 So, Ventura … on the hot seat … if the ChiSox keep losing like this … how soon before he's fired? And, just what if … Gardy is named the new manager (although I don't think for one second this will ever happen, but it's my 'what if' so I'm saying it) … do you boo him when he comes to town next with the ChiSox?I don't see Ventura getting the axe this season. I think the Sux are invested in him long term.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Someone on twitter just said we couldn't hit out of a paper bag. If 14th in the majors in hits is "not being able to hit out of a paper bag" then I would like to be able to continue to not be able hit out of a paper bag. All I know is this: Frequently the contents of a paper bag comes crashing thru the bottom and on to my driveway. And then the can of soup rolls down the driveway and into the street. And then I go to retrieve it and a car fly's by and squishes the can and the contents sprays all over my legs. I then walk in the house and head to the bathroom to wash the soup off my legs and my wife yells. "Hey... You're getting Soup everywhere". Just another thing in life that is my fault

Mom - that is not the reason for my response, I just wanted to apologize for my poor image posting etiquette last Sunday. I am sorry and I gave myself a self imposed ban for a week, it was going to last longer, but I had to celebrate Trev's Grand Slam... that's my boy! What was it? Tell me at once. I must know!

HitInAPinch Verified Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 I see Pelfry is imploding. Falling back to earth???
Hrbowski Verified Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Get Ventura out of here! But that might be doing the Sox a favor.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Yeah, put me in the line-up and I'll never want to give the job back to you. There Ya Go!!! It'll be great... You'll collect a bunch of likes on it.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted May 3, 2015 Author Posted May 3, 2015 Pelf making things interesting. Slightly less interesting now, with one out. A 3-2 pitch, foultipped into Herrmann's glove, which gets knocked out by the back swing.

If that's your boy, that makes him Chitown's grandson, no?
formerly33 Verified Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Send Pelf down! I thought he was our best pitcher.
formerly33 Verified Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 If that's your boy, that makes him Chitown's grandson, no?Hm, and apparently my future nephew-in-law.

mnsportsgeek Provisional Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Alright, all good things must come to an end. My irrational love of Pelfrey is over. Although I still like him more than Nolasco.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Pelf is gonna somehow be 'injured' after this
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Not to worry, our crack middle relief's got this.
Hrbowski Verified Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Pressly in. Wonder if he will get a ground ball.
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 I recall simpler days when the hitter was supposed to make at least a token effort to get out of the way.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 If that's your boy, that makes him Chitown's grandson, no?yeah, keep talking, great great great great great grandpa.
