Squirrel Community Moderator Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 Yesterday we learned a 4 run lead wasn't safe from the bullpen. Let's see what they can do with a 7 run cushion.Chief, just hush! You are setting up the jinx, now just zip it!

sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted May 1, 2015 Author Posted May 1, 2015 By the by...another fine job by guest game thread host Sample Size of One. We now have a large enough sample size to say Sample Size of One's talent is not just a small sample size. Thanks a bunch. Mad props to Cap'n Piranha on this one as well for his contribution to tonight's theme. I am cautiously optimistic the Twins record under my game thread hostage will regress towards the mean just a tad (they are 0-4, pending the results of tonight's game)
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted May 1, 2015 Author Posted May 1, 2015 Okay Vargas, time to bust that slump!
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 If the White Sox aren't above .500 by May 15th, I bet they have a new manager. Lots of expectations there, and he wasn't on firm ground to start with.
formerly33 Verified Member Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 Nice game so far, fun to watch. And I sit here, a lonely bum, blowing across a hole in a silver pipe. Occasionally I will sneak a peak at TD but never dare to turn on the game for fear of being caught. I feel oh, so alone. That's my CBU for the day since I don't know anything about the game besides what I read on here. Is it okay to use that phrase somewhat out of context?
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 If there was ever a place where "out of context" is ok, this is it.
Blake Verified Member Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 So, I leave to go have fajitas with my wife as the Sox load the bases against May. Come back, it's 9 to 2, Twins. What the? Yay MLB TV.. look at the innings, go back, watch the Twins chase Sale from the game. Cool.
big dog Verified Member Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 Here is a big dog round of applause for Caleb Thielbar.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted May 1, 2015 Author Posted May 1, 2015 Nice poke by Herrmann! This game score now goes to 11.

big dog Verified Member Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 Herrman with a rocket and Joe is 3 for 5. I am definitely enjoying this game. Listening to Hawk complain about his team is just icing on the cake.

JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 Hope they aren't using up the next three days' worth of runs.

Obviously, don't let us get ya into trouble, or stunt your flute playin', but i bet if you gain the skill of reading a line of music quickly, and keep playing it while looking at something else (a conductor or TD game thread) this skill will probably serve you well in your musical career... (I just speculate, i do not actually speak from experience) And yeah, context? What's that?

big dog Verified Member Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 Mauer SLG-check - now over .400And an OPS of .804
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 Graham in for the first time in 11 days. It has been like they have an 11-man staff. I guess I chalk this up to Molitor being a rookie manager. They want to keep the guy, but they have to use him more than seven innings a month.
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 Tonkin couldn't go more than 1 pitch in a ten run game?

As entertaining as he can be for us when things go bad for them, his not quite completely objective reporting and small hints of mental instability must drive some of them nuts.

It's 12-2, enough of this strategy nonsense, enjoy the game goddammit!!

formerly33 Verified Member Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 Now it is.Good call. You are obviously more cautious than I. Also, I gave a try at your idea and it was...well...interesting. It requires an elite memory and lots of patience. It took me so long to read one post while playing a relatively simple passage (peppered with errors) that I do believe it would have been faster to do it separately. Well, since the game is over and I've been "playing" longer than usual, I guess I can stop. Hurray!

Basically they like Stone for balance. At least that's what some say to me.
