Great outing by Pelfrey. Looks like he kept the Tigers off the bases and recorded a bunch of strikeouts. I wouldn't sign him to an extension yet but would keep him the rotation*.

OK, was last year's offense a total mirage?  If not, this club is really due to break out.  Where is the power?

I think I was on record last year as not believing in it. Nice looking totals seemed overly affected by a handful of blowout wins. The season ending loss to David Price by a shutout told me all I needed to know about their status as a quality offense. I was hoping for some growth this season, but have been disappointed.
