Game Thread, Twins v. Tigers April 28 7:10PM

[stringer bell]

Cy Pelfrey!

Beaten to the punch by Milldaddy!

[Gibby]

Cy Pelfrey!

Or will it be? Sigh, Pefrey.

[ashbury]

Two three-pitch strikeouts, third strike called, in the Twins' first two batters? Hello?

/ edit: Mauer with a tapper to second. Baby Steps. This has been your CBU.

[Gibby]

The spice rub on my pork loin tonight was so good, that picking my teeth is as delicious as dinner was.

[stringer bell]

Pelf should get double credit for fanning Victor.

[Gibby]

Jack needs to quit talking about Gibson like he's dead.

[stringer bell]

Past halfway to K quota (figuring a 7 inning outing).

[JB_Iowa]

Wow, Pelfrey is working quickly.

And looking great.

[Gibby]

Or will it be? Sigh, Pefrey.

  I retract this comment.

[stringer bell]

Pitch to no-contact!

I thought the same thing, lol! But I think that our "worst" pitcher is pretty darn good. That's the first time we've been able to say for a while!

[Circus Boy]

All good pitchers work fast. CBU.

[Gibby]

Pitch to no-contact!

Gardy must be shaking his head. No way to win a ballgame.

[stringer bell]

I wonder what the Twins record is when they strike out more hitters than they strike out themselves.

[JB_Iowa]

I wonder what the Twins record is when they strike out more hitters than they strike out themsH

Has that happened in recent memory??

Just looking through his strikeout logs, it looks like the last time Mike Pelfrey struck out the side in any inning was May 12, 2010 vs Nats

sigh Pelfrey

[sampleSizeOfOne]

A walk, an error, a double play,  a hit, a run, a stolen base.

(Circus) Boy, that inning had everything for Pelfrey.

Okay, let us (the Twins) get that run back...

Well, Arcia started off right with a single.

[stringer bell]

Knowing that you can't assume a double play, is that run earned or unearned?

[Squirrel]

Late to the party (thanks to work), but I see I didn't miss too much.

[Gibby]

Unearned. I cant believe they are disputing the error. That was an easy play, unless you have your thumb up your arse.

[Patrick Midthun]

Well, Arcia started off right with a single.

That's good to see. Still, he needs to be more selective. He reached out of the zone for that, in a 0-1 count.

[JB_Iowa]

Small Ball.

[Squirrel]

Woohoo! Score!

[Patrick Midthun]

Tie game! Santana stroked a two out hit right back up the box.

[stringer bell]

Two out singles for both teams!  Now Santana needs to steal second.

[SydneyTwinsFan]

I thought Molitor was a stat-savvy new age manager.  What's with the old school sacrificing and giving away outs?

Edit: Although I see it scored a run, but still...

I walked by Draft Town again tonight ... still looks like there's a ton left to do there ...

[Squirrel]

The Sasquatch ... our ace!
