Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2015 Author Posted April 18, 2015 I'm sure you'll not misinterpret my clicking Like. I'm also sure he was awesome. He played guitar and sang in a classic country band well into his 80's. We are talking Hank Williams country. They'd play a gig in the middle of nowhere and the place would be packed with Grandpa's and Grandma's just dancing up a storm. There simply wasn't another band playing that material anywhere. They were one of a kind because of it... Talent level didn't matter at all... They just got up and did it and made a whole bunch folks happy. I'd just watch them and think to myself... That's my Uncle and I just loved it. He came out and watched my band once... He says to me... You guys are too loud. I think you're good though... but you guys are too loud. I got to sing Cotton Fields with them once... It was a highlight for me... I was thinking that my Mom would have loved to have seen her brother and son on stage together. Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 Your telling me we don't have a better pitcher in the minors than Pelfry?
David HK Verified Member Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 (edited) Heh.... WP. Pelf figured out a way to get himself out of a jam. Tho-- he has been heroic thus far. But... ah, well, it's Pelf. Edited April 18, 2015 by David HK Squirrel and USAFChief 2

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 That slide should have resulted in a DP call by the umpire.

I also liked the end of the inning, with a strike home from Escobar! Now we gotta figure out Kluber enough to get that run back...
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 Considering the last two innings, I'm glad the Indians only have one run. Should be a lot worse. stringer bell, USAFChief and Mill1634 3
