I don't think Mookie Betts is catching for the Red Sox. ;)

Oops ... left off the 'F' in 'CF' ... fixed for now! :)

Twins take an early lead 'gainst Boston.

Shane Robinson walks, steals second, advances on a Plouffe ground out, and scores on Vargas' double.

Arcia then singles, leaving runners at the corners.

(Where would i be without gameday? Probably futzin' with the yahoo or espn equivalent, i expect. Someday i'll learn the value of comparative shopping, but for now, i'm lazy)

Er, gameday also lists Pelfrey against Boston and Santana against Baltimore...

Pelfrey almost stranded a leadoff double by Catcher Fielder Betts, but he gets plated with 2 outs by a Hanley Ramirez single. Arcia throws Hanley out tryin' to advance to 2nd.

That gives Minnesota an outfield assist in each game.

That's how it's listed now; but it wasn't when I did the lineups ... both on MN Twins website and Baseball Press website.

Edit:  And I've now switched it to match.

Just joined you guys for today's games....Mauer is up hoping to stay above the Mendoza Line

Anyone happen to know a site that shows spring training stats for every year going back maybe 5 years? I'd be curious if Mauer has always hit this weakly during ST or if this is a bad omen. I know we shouldn't use ST stats as a predictor of anything, I'm just curious is all.

Pelfrey actually acquitted himself very well today, 4 IP, 3 K, 0 BB, 3 H, 1 ER...  against almost the entire Red Sox opening day lineup, sans Ortiz and maybe a couple others.  (Thus, muddling the Twins 5th starter picture a little more).

Haven't been following too closely, but it seems Boston is still knotted at 1-1, and Baltimore has fiendishly let the Twins back to within a run.

A couple of doubles with a runner on resulted in runners at second and third with less than two out.

Rosario got a sac fly in the 4th inning under those circumstances, and Nunez got a single (then later got thrown out stealing second)

3-2 the Birds.

Arcia "looking" good today. 2-3 with singles to left and right

Dozier 1-2 with a double, run scored, and walk

Plouffe seems to be getting into the swing of things 1-2 with a single and a walk

Dozier just got caught stealing 3rd. Nobody out.

Yup, beaten by the teams from cities starting with B. We got stung by the Bees...

Two B's or not two B's, that should have been the question.

Well, and then sideways, too, if you want everyone to think you are me.

My aspirations aren't nearly so lofty as that.

As the Mets will say at the end o' spring training...

To Shea.

If we's quotin' shakespeare, i'll dig up a bit of wit of Andy Griffith:

"It wasn't about bein' or not bein', it was about doin' or not doin'."

(speakin' o' which, that'd make a worthwhile signature. Once more into my settings.)

MLB.com has it. Main stats pages and player pages should have drop down menus to select spring training and past years spring training too.
