sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Everyone is so bored with the game... They have started to recycle past innings.Ah, so if they score, it'll just be reruns.
Winston Smith Verified Member Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 There's always next year, however, we seem to be recycling years.
GCTF Verified Member Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Give it a few more starts. An 11.92 ERA might seems like buying low. They're paying Trevor May the league minimum for his 11.92 ERA.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Aaron Thompson looks like he should be playing bass for Eric Church.
glunn Community Moderator Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Dear Minnesota Twins, Comebacks are so much easier if you halt the other team from scoring. If you allow the other team to keep scoring. It'll be like chasing a moving target. I recommend halting that target and holding it in place. Sincerely, RiverbrianWell, that actually worked. Maybe Gardy is using a smartphone to follow today's game thread.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Ah, so if they score, it'll just be reruns.LOL... That might have topped Ash's earlier post. Close but I gotta give it 2nd place. It would have been 1st on other game threads.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Well, that actually worked. Maybe Gardy is using a smartphone to follow today's game thread.I think Gardy still knows how to untangle a phone chord.

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 "Buck Sherwalter." Drink.I wonder if Buck Showalter ever coached a player named Walter. I'm only asking for obvious reasons.

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 The Orioles have their Nolasco on the mound.
Circus Boy Verified Member Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Wait... Wasn't Hardy up with the bases loaded before? One of my favorite players growing up was Jim Northrup, the Tigers' centerfielder in the 1960s. He still has the record of two grand slams in the same inning. I remember marveling that he had more rbi in one inning than I had all season in Little League. Just a memory.
glunn Community Moderator Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Vargas needs to be more selective against a pitcher like this one.
glunn Community Moderator Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Dozier could easily steal home right now with the lead that they are giving him.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Vargas needs to be more selective against a pitcher like this one. That's the very definition of youth. That and nudity.
glunn Community Moderator Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 That's the very definition of youth. That and nudity.Like! I am now out of official likes.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Comeback was a little short.

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Wasn't Hardy once a Twin? Sigh ...And Gomez before that. Sigh ... No doubt about it tho... The Orioles got better when they moved Jim Hoey.
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Wasn't Hardy once a Twin? Sigh ...No, Frank was about a year older than Joe.
