Also, my first game was probably 1967. Just as we walked from the concourse (?) up to where the field was in view, Cesar Tovar ripped a single between short and third. Very memorable.

And now the Met's home plate is nestled in the bowels of the Mall of America. That's not right.

I don't know...standing there was easily the highlight of my trip to MOA.

 

One more thing I remember about the old Met was the parking lot, and for some reason the colored signs that were supposed to help you find your car faster after the game, so you could spend more time sitting in a long line waiting to get out.

My first game was the 3rd home game in 61. All I remember is Jim Lemon looked really big. Had been to the Met the year before for a Millers game, Yaz was the big star for the Millers turned out to be a fair player.

My first MLB game was the Pirates at the Giants in 1966. I remember almost nothing of it, except that it was overly hot and I was overly bored. My brother and I tried sharing reminiscences of it a few years ago, and he had all sorts of specific details and all I could remember was needing more than just the one watery lemonade.

Twins' baserunning is such a puzzle. Nunez made it into third, but was it a good idea stretching a double into a triple with two outs and you're down by 2?

And i would credit the raspberries for last night's rally more than the cake.
