And now the Met's home plate is nestled in the bowels of the Mall of America. That's not right.

I don't know...standing there was easily the highlight of my trip to MOA.

One more thing I remember about the old Met was the parking lot, and for some reason the colored signs that were supposed to help you find your car faster after the game, so you could spend more time sitting in a long line waiting to get out.

Did you ride the log ride to see the seats where Killebrew's longest home run landed?

So the field might change twice but the parking situation doesn't?

Somewhere I got a picture of me and my kids with our arms up, screaming as we came down the log ride.

That was pretty cool too.

I think that would make a fun ModCon activity <g>

Atchison looks older than me. And that's not something I say about many people.

I think a problem Morales has it that he might eat too much rally cake. He is not exactly streamlined for speed.

I am kind of glad I am listening to this on the radio and did not have to see that.

My first game was the 3rd home game in 61. All I remember is Jim Lemon looked really big. Had been to the Met the year before for a Millers game, Yaz was the big star for the Millers turned out to be a fair player.

Morales' incursion into 2nd base looked like a man trying to rescue a free goldfish from a subway track.

Mind the gap, Kendry.

What's the record for men left on base?

Baseball, or military?

Uhh, fine, it's a baseball site and a good question. Just say'in.

Good call pointing that out. Actual outcome aside, AARP ninjas are descending on the scene, having stretched first and obsessively consulted their GPS's for the takedown....

My first MLB game was the Pirates at the Giants in 1966. I remember almost nothing of it, except that it was overly hot and I was overly bored. My brother and I tried sharing reminiscences of it a few years ago, and he had all sorts of specific details and all I could remember was needing more than just the one watery lemonade.

Not bad, Nunez.

Now how do we get him in from third, with two outs?

Oh, my first big league game was in the kingdome, and i was young enough to wonder why people kept running to first base, then heading back to the dugout. That's about the extent o' my memory...

And i would credit the raspberries for last night's rally more than the cake.

Anyone want a rally raspberry?
