I really don't remember my first game, but I'm pretty sure it was in 1965.

Mine was in 67, Twins vs Royals. After the game, I met Tony Oliva with his little girl in Shakey's Pizza. I still have my autographed menu.

The Symphony was lovely Sunday night.

Yeah, I like those types of shows, but glad we don't do a lot of them.

While we're digging out of our latest 3-0 hole, question: Do you remember your first MLB game?

I think it was in August 1967. At Met Stadium and I really just remember being overwhelmed by the experience and getting to see Killebrew and Oliva and everyone else I'd seen only on TV. I do have some recollection of Mudcat Grant pitching and the Twins losing.

We were there with famous people so we got gawked at all night.

Twins! I'm a Minnesota girl! I just work in Chicago.

I'm from Iowa, I only work in Outer Space:

Just keep drinking your wine and you won't notice after a bit :)

Every now and then I have a hankering for a Shakey's Special.

No, too loaded. Anything else you hear about that day is a filthy lie.

I wish they were still in our market.

How cool is that! Tony's the best.

I had one out west a few years ago but it just didn't seem the same. I don't know if that's because it really tasted different or because I wanted it to take me back to my childhood.

I remember the first time my parents took my younger siblings to Shakey's (for some reason by older sister and I weren't along) -- my little sister came home and said "and you can make all the noise you want!"

I can still picture how young he looked. I was insanely impressed. I think my Dad was as star struck as I was.

I remember the pies were huge and the pepperoni was crispy, but you are right, it wouldn't be the same.

A homer, a fly out to center, and two strikeouts swinging, for the top of the fifth. Pretty much in keeping with my reading of the PBP of the full game on espn.com. Cleveland came into this game looking to tee off on a AAA pitcher. A pity we chose to supply them with one.

First game(s)...double header in July '63. Don't remember much except how perfect and beautiful the field was when we first walked out of the tunnel into the seating area, and the Twins swept....or at least as I remember it they did.

There was a Shakey's in my home town. I remember the big long tables, the player piano and pitchers of root beer. Nowadays, pizza is not my friend. Has to be the thinnest crust ever, no tomato sauce and no greasy, spicy meats.

Don't sell our AAAA pitcher short, pal.

FSN showed a graphic that the Twins are hitting .229 w/RISP this season. My brain said, "Not possible." Feels more like .129. Then Dozier struck out. Nuts. Second and third base: Where Twins runners go to die.

When I was in 5th grade I went to a game and I signed a baseball "Tony Oliva" (using my best imitation signature) and I showed it to my classmates and I think they actually believed it. The things a kid will do for attention.

And now the Met's home plate is nestled in the bowels of the Mall of America. That's not right.
