Gibby Provisional Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Make sure the pay is in Euros and not Lire. She gets paid in American dollars.
ashbury Verified Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 I can do no more. Thanks everyone. Go Twins. I finally get down to here and see that my previous posts were in vain.
ashbury Verified Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Pino had just enough to get thru 5. I hope after ten years in the minors he can get #1 up here tonight. Snepp will help with #2.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 You've picked up that What The Heavens formulation from the Mauer family too? Clearly WTH = "Wheat, Tomato, Hamster"
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 With Cano's out, the Mariner's are now 1 of their last 33 with RISP. Nice. I'm posting this before the at-bat is over to make sure it comes true, otherwise I'd be a liar.
glunn Community Moderator Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 She gets paid in American dollars. She might also qualify for some tax benefits that are available to Americans who work overseas.

stringer bell Verified Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Twins getting the hang of that challenge thingie.
curt1965 Verified Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Great job of Plouffe knowing the situation!!
ashbury Verified Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Wait, I'm just following along on ESPN.com's play by play: how did the third out occur, after Seager hit the sac fly?
howeda7 Verified Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Wait, I'm just following along on ESPN.com's play by play: how did the third out occur, after Seager hit the sac fly? Yes. Jones was out trying to tag from 2nd to 3rd.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Finally I get to watch this game. Can someone give a brief recap of the game and any textile style discussions? The quick summary: Pino gives up a solo homer, but strands the bases loaded... twice. Twins score the first two on a double steal/overthrow and a sack fly, then the next two on a Morales (or is that KP?) double over the center fielder. Twins have gotten two calls reversed on challenges as well. I actually haven't been following too closely, but hamster seems to be the word of the day.
ashbury Verified Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Yes. Jones was out trying to tag from 2nd to 3rd. Thanks. This is ESPN's illuminating recap: K Seager hit sacrifice fly to left, E Chavez scored, J Jones to third.
glunn Community Moderator Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Wait, I'm just following along on ESPN.com's play by play: how did the third out occur, after Seager hit the sac fly? The guy on second tried for third, and the ball was cut off and that guy got tagged out sliding into third just after the the guy who started at third scored. Excellent play by Escobar blocking third with his foot and holding the tag. Ump called the play safe, but on review it was clear that he was out.
howeda7 Verified Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Thanks. This is ESPN's illuminating recap: K Seager hit sacrifice fly to left, E Chavez scored, J Jones to third. That was true before Gardy did some managin'
glunn Community Moderator Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Arcia's fielding makes me need a valium.
howeda7 Verified Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Arcia's fielding makes me need a valium. Understandable, but not many RF'ers make that catch.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Arcia's fielding makes me need a valium. It's an easier cope with a Pink Floyd light show and an Ed Nunez pinch AB. But do what you gotta do.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 On a crazy aside not belonging in a game thread, the TV transition spot pretty much rips off Platoon's Adagio for Strings. Expectation adjustment, anyone?
glunn Community Moderator Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Dozier has played in 88 of 90 games this year. I think that he should get more days off.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 On a crazy aside not belonging in a game thread, the TV transition spot pretty much rips off Platoon's Adagio for Strings. Expectation adjustment, anyone? I think Platoon ripped off Barber's Adagio for Strings first. (Yes, I'm being a music snob. Because I can.)
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 And I keep thinking Suzuki can't keep this up, then he keeps this up.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Seattle may have underestimated the Twins. Losing 3 of 4 isn't a good way to prep for the A's. YEA! TWINS!
ashbury Verified Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Welp, Perk makes it interesting by having to pitch to Cano, but: Winnah!
