Tibs Verified Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 With the All-Star break coming up, McLendon wanted Felix to face division rival and playoff contender Oakland. They adjusted their roster to have nine bullpen arms, so they will burn a bunch of the 'pen in advance of their ace.I understand that, but they are going to be in trouble if their starters pitch poorly against Oakland. Luckily the All-Star break is coming up.
Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Might be better to plan for it rather than stumble into it by accident or necessity. I'll leave that up to the geniuses. I am busy counting my marbles.
Willihammer Provisional Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Arcia grounding out on 3-0...

Luckily the All-Star break is coming up.They are counting on Felix--a lot. He might be the best pitcher in the league and they want their best three against the A's. It is a gamble, but if they win today and tomorrow and Felix gives them at least seven, it will pay off.
Willihammer Provisional Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 I'll definitely have to catch a few innings of that game tomorrow. See what Smardzijazija looks like in an A's uni too Sorry Twins

Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 You poop like a hamster. Can someone erase this post. It's like I took a hit of Nitrous and blurted out the first thing that came to my mind, although that is not what happened. I don't know what happened?
stringer bell Verified Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Double steal w/ a throwing error kicker!
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2014 Author Posted July 11, 2014 He's not invited. Did anyone else get a non-invitation? Mine came in the mail last week. I didn't know Hallmark made them.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2014 Author Posted July 11, 2014 I have had an awful day. Thanks for #5. It helped. I will read #1-4 later. Glunn my friend... You gotta stop having awful days. You deserve good ones with puppies and dancing girls.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Really nice to have and use good baserunning speed.

Here's why: Its the first time in the history of Twinsdaily that those combination of words have been used in a single sentence.
curt1965 Verified Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Is it just me, or have the Twins been reluctant to steal this year? I think they are going to struggle to score runs the rest of the year, but in Dozier, Santana, Nunez, Fuld, and Escobar they have decent to excellent speed......

Here's why: Its the first time in the history of Twinsdaily that those combination of words have been used in a single sentence.I'm going to need some independent verification of that. That sounds like something likely to have been said by several posters that come to mind, including at least 1 owner and a couple mods.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Underrated good move by the Twins: keeping Arcia exclusively in right. He looks more comfortable there and he's got a really good arm.
WLFINN Verified Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 speaking of Nunez, I would like to see him get more playing time

He looks more comfortable there and he's got a really good arm. If by "comfortable" you mean "crawling on all fours across a bed of broken glass, Die Hard style" then I concur 100%

curt1965 Verified Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 I know it wasn't his day to pitch, but I wish the Twins would have thrown Kris Johnson tonight. The M's look vulnerable to left handed pitching.
Willihammer Provisional Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Arcia has been the biggest disappointment of the year to this point, IMO. Really hoped for more, both on offense and defense. edit: he does have a good arm though
Willihammer Provisional Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 speaking of Nunez, I would like to see him get more playing timeI would too. He's younger than Plouffe, Florimon, and Dozier. More importantly, he can hit a little bit. I'd put him at SS, at least til this supposed lousy defender shows himself.

stringer bell Verified Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Hit? I wonder if the fielder wasn't Cano if it would be a hit.
