Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2014 Author Posted July 11, 2014 I'm going to need some independent verification of that. That sounds like something likely to have been said by several posters that come to mind, including at least 1 owner and a couple mods. Ok... I checked it out... I spent the last 10 minutes reading through every single TD post in history. It's the first time... The closest was a post made by LaBombo... All he typed was "Ham Sandwich".
Gibby Provisional Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 I agree. He has tremendous potential, but I question his make-up..... I know, his foundation is wrong for his skin tone.
Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Hope you can check back in for 2015 spring training... ... because of high marble count, not low counting rate, it should go without saying. Believe me - it is not that high of a count.

stringer bell Verified Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 I would too. He's younger than Plouffe, Florimon, and Dozier. More importantly, he can hit a little bit. I'd put him at SS, at least til this supposed lousy defender shows himself. Mostly agree. I think he can be an option at short. He can hit some, runs well and seems to have a good arm.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Arcia has been the biggest disappointment of the year to this point, IMO. Really hoped for more, both on offense and defense. edit: he does have a good arm thoughBecause he figures more prominently into the competitive future of the team, yeah, that's a good call. But Nolasco has been dreadful, is hurt, and signed to the second least-awful contract in the Twins org. Arcia could take a year off from baseball with a fanny pack full of Eurail passes and youth hostel vouchers, and come back next year looking like one of the best possibilities for a Twins player to have a good season.

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2014 Author Posted July 11, 2014 According to the search results, RB is the most prominent poster in terms of hamster references, with 2. Yeah... But I discounted those because of the infinite monkey theory.
Gibby Provisional Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Milan is in the bag. What about New York and Japan? I just found out my kid signed with a team in Milan.
Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Who leads in "hamster sandwich" references? You do my friend.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 On Arcia, I really think he's close. He is being more patient and making better contact. Despite some bad misplays, I think he's much better in right this year.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2014 Author Posted July 11, 2014 Who leads in "hamster sandwich" references? That would be me.

Its frustrating because he did nothing but hit as a minor leaguer (career .314 BA over 1800 PAs). So far in 2014 he has been doing more swinging and missing than just about anyone in baseball. Similar deal with Hicks too really (career .270 BA). Actually the penalty to their BAs after being promoted is almost identical - .076 points for Hicks and .075 for Arcia.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2014 Author Posted July 11, 2014 You do my friend. Thats Right... His last reference counts. We are tied!!!

Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Milan is in the bag. What about New York and Japan? Not sure what to do about NY, I am but simple mid-western folk. An infusion of anime porn could help sway the cause of the Japanese.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 I just found out my kid signed with a team in Milan.I didn't know they had pro volleyball way out there in west central Minnesota.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 An opportunity for Arcia to show he is making progress.

Guest USAFChief Guests Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Seattle looks like a team in desperate need of Willingham.
