Boom Boom Verified Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Mauer 1 for 11 in the series with a walk. This game's going to have to go into mad extra innings to get that .091 up to .400.
Kirby_waved_at_me Verified Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Wow. Nice work Parmelee! One man wrecking crew today (including the misplayed ground rul double).
zchrz Provisional Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 PARMS, I keep trying to give up on you and you keep making me hang on a little longer.
TKGuy Provisional Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Just when you think he's dead, Parms 3-4 today. If Glen can shut the door, I will certainly take 4-5 on this road trip from hell
D. Hocking Verified Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Re Mauer - I am sure there is more going on behind the scenes, but whenever I hear anyone in the Twins organzation talk about the situation they seem to be crossing their fingers and closing their eyes and doing their best to convince themselves there is nothing seriously wrong and the situation will soon right itself. It almost seems that they are going with if we remain in denial and ignore the situation and do nothing - it will go away and fix itself. Hopefully they are doing more behind the scenes.
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Question, if you're John Farrell, do you send Uehara out to pitch the 11th? I would like to credit myself for jinxing the Sox closer. My work here is done.
tharasix Provisional Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Parmelee continues to pay no respect to the pitching today.
pierre75275 Verified Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 I had to change my post. I was about to say it was a good thing this game started early...then parms hits a dinger. Who knew? course this game could still go on a while but...
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 The day after I leave Boston they finally try to win one. Sweet.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 By George. I think he's got it! By Parmelee, I think he's got it! (Yeah, guess an Escobar hit wasn't as important as i thought it might be) Now let's see if the pitching can hold it...
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 OOPS, I guess things have to be Fien.
James Verified Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Okay, Mr. Perkins. It's up to you. Today, you spell Perkins: "Fien."
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 PARMS, I keep trying to give up on you and you keep making me hang on a little longer. Is that a line from Brokeback Fenway?
ericchri Provisional Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Perkins not warmed up? Gameday has Fien pitching...
James Verified Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Where is Perk? The radio says a few guys have some sort of flu bug.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 The radio says a few guys have some sort of flu bug. It was probably that big salad he was eating the day he gave the interview on Pinto.
tharasix Provisional Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Radio says a flu bug is going through the clubhouse, and it may have bitten Perk.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Perk apparently doesn't think much of Fryer's pitch framing, either.
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Radio says a flu bug is going through the clubhouse, and it may have bitten Perk. Ah yes, the brown bottle flu.
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Does everyone remember when I said Chris Parmelee would join Jose Bautista as the only player to score a run agains Uehara this year? Everyone remembers right? Don't bother looking it up, it's in one of these threads somewhere.
Gibby Provisional Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 I would like to credit myself for jinxing the Sox closer. My work here is done. Ya hate to blow your Uehara early.
James Verified Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Ah yes, the brown bottle flu.The Sam Adams flu?
Otto von Ballpark Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Looks like Perk picked a bad day to get the flu
James Verified Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Oh... I see. Neither team wants to get on a plane yet.
