  1. A truly deadened baseball for 2021 could produce more possible base hits to track down in the outfield. Outfield range might become more important than recently needed.
  2. Mee too. I thought he was going to have more of a MLB career than he has so far, but he is still in the Red Sox organization and might see The Show again.
  3. Channeling the power of Zoltar the Magnificent can be magical.
  4. When I click on the photo of Bartolo it takes me to Twitter where I am greeted by the message; "The following media includes potentially sensitive content." I can only assume that his burrito count is high in roentgens or what ever unit one uses to measure burritoness and Twitter is just protecting my delicate sensibilities. How wonderful.
  5. Enlow has the ability to really carve through a lineup; makes hitters look really uncomfortable in the batters box. I kind of hate to make comparisons but Gerrit Cole does it like this to MLB hitters, biting stuff and explosive fastball. If/when Enlow figures out how to put hitters away I sure wouldn't look forward to facing him.
  6. A healthy (if) James Paxton would be an upgrade for most rotations.
  7. Old friend Andrew Albers signed to a minor league deal with spring training invite. Looks like a lefty arm for the mound flingers of St. Paul.
  8. No lack of opinions here. I agree with Seth. It's a long season and you never know how many injury/wuhan virus absences will occur. A versatile guy like Willians could come in handy. And, some here like watching him play.
  9. I think Bailey Ober is the sleeper here. I don't know if he projects as a starter or reliever at the MLB level, but with his elite control and the ability to miss bats he has a chance to have an impact for the Twins in 2021.
  10. Hendriks is the head scratcher for me since he still had options remaining. Maybe when they designated him for assignment in 2013 the front office thought they might sneak him through waivers. Oops.
  11. Alcala, Garver, Kepler, Kiriloff, alphabetically of course.
  12. Yep and yep. 1 year $8 mil deal. Will probably be their starting left fielder since no other outfielder on their roster can hit. It will be weird seeing him a Cleveland Baseball Team uniform. I thought the Cubs might sign him, but I guess not. They went with Joc Pederson.
  13. Except, they're not the Indians any more. And, they don't have a name yet because they didn't really plan this out. MLB encouraged the name change and the Indians went forward with it. 2 groups without a plan. What do you call that place between 2 boobs? The Cleavage. Good name for the team in Cleveland.
  14. I think Polanco and Arraez make a fine keystone duo. As long as Polanco's ankles are up to it, we can win and win big with these guys. Maybe not the greatest defense, but I'll take a good hitter who can hold his own at a position over a good glove-poor hit starter.
  15. What? The land of 10,000 lakes and a few wierdos isn't the mecca of all that represents good living? Shocked I say, just shocked.
  16. Paxton actually has better platoon splits against right-hand hitters.
  17. It's been 6 months since Kluber was diagnosed with a grade 2 tear of the teres major muscle in his right shoulder. I'm pretty sure he has had ample time to rest and rehab the injury and believe he'll be able to ramp up for a normal spring training and full season. Broken arm, oblique strain, shoulder muscle tear; it's been a rough time for him but at age 35 and with his ability to pitch and velocity returning, I think he could be a significant contributor to our rotation. We took a flyer on Rich Hill last year. I think Kluber could provide more value.
  18. The Pale Hose are spending a lot of money for 1 inning a game, 65-85 innings a season.
  19. I was hoping for a trade with the RedSox. I wanted Ellsbury.
  20. Brad Hand would look good in a Twins uniform.
