    I wouldn't consider Josh Bell's season as underperforming. Yes you would want your DH to hit more but what were you expecting from Bell. He's 33, leads the team in RBIs, and has acquired the most WAR (0.6) in a season since 2022. Seems pretty much in-line with expectations.

    Go has gotten 2 outs this inning, could he get a third? Oh, the suspense is killing me.

    Well, his OPS after 17 games with the Horse Poofs is 844 and playing stellar defense at a premium position and looking every part of a major league ball player, so I'd say his trajectory is definitely upward. I'd even say that if the major league roster suffers a rash of infield injuries and they need a shortstop, Marek could cover the position and may not give it up for 10 years.

    I think our GM realizes that the cupboard is pretty bare when looking for a major league ready reliever, so if Tommy Nance can provide even average major league innings it helps us "get to Gomez" which is probably our biggest challenge right now.

    For a guy who I thought was just famous-name roster fodder when they acquired him, Kody Clemens just keeps doing things that makes the manager write his name on the lineup card every day.

    Years ago a young left-handed starter had a good slider that he developed into an incredible weapon that gave hitters fits even if they knew it was coming. He had a pretty good career. His name is Steve Carlton.
