  1. If Tyler Duffy wasn't good enough for this team, then Emilio Pagan shouldn't be either.
  2. Interesting tale of the tape for 2022: Twins vs CLE, runs scored 89, runs allowed 89, won-loss record 6-13. Ouch.
  3. Just a note: Tony Oliva won 3 batting titles, 1964, 1965 and also in 1971 with a .337 average.
  4. Billy Hamilton at 2B? Grabbed my varmint gun and headed out in the hopes that please, something is moving out there.
  5. Congrats to Joe Ryan setting the Twin's rookie pitcher strikeout record, and a great September to cap off a really good rookie season. Fun to watch pitch.
  6. From the AP: "DETROIT -- — Jake Ryan allowed five hits in six innings and the Minnesota Twins blanked Detroit 7-0 on Friday night, the Tigers' 22nd shutout loss of the season." Jake Ryan? Twins get no respect. Maybe we should call ourselves the Rodney Dangerfields.
  7. I guess we can safely say that Matt Wallner is no Max Kepler defensively in RF.
  8. Could be an interesting series against the ChiSox; 2 teams that just got the stuffing kicked out of them the last 2 weeks.
  9. This is a 2 part question really. The first part, "why", is an age old question and best answered with, "because." The second part, "is Dalton Shuffield at the St. Paul Saints and not Brooks Lee?" . . . yes.
  10. I like New York In my rear-view mirror How about you?
  11. Davis did strikeout the only 2 batters he faced.
  12. I sure question the way closers are used these days. Lopez, who is supposed to be our best reliever (I guess) has the least amount of pitches thrown in the last 5 days, except Davis the new guy. Is this maximizing your best players?
  13. 5 of the 9 Twins starting lineup today consisted of players not expected to start too many games for the Twins this year. Makes it tough to win, especially against the Evil Empire.
  14. Magill threw a meatball to Judge . . . why give him anything to hit, especially in a tie ball game?
  15. I think Jeffers was placed on IL July 15th with 60 days making Sept. 13th possible return date. Larnach was IL'd retroactive to June 24th, with 60 days gone past making him available whenever he is healthy enough to be added back to the roster.
  16. Good instigators instigate. It messed with the Twins didn't it, ended up with the screwed up mound visit thing and Sanchez having to be replaced on the mound. It feels like good teams are just toying with us. It's rather embarrassing really.
  17. My wife can be looking right at me when I say something, and respond with, "what"?
  18. Tuesday: TBD vs Justin Verlander TBD better = Throw Big Donuts
