  1. Um, okay. And who do you propose to fill all those positions if you cut them all?
  2. Really wish I lived closer ... looks like fun.
  3. It was my way of saying that maybe they are where they are and we are where are is because of the manager. We SHOULDN’T be trailing, yet we are.
  4. I was pretty clear when I said ... he is not without partners in blame ... but he is where it starts, imo.
  5. I actually didn't think we were in play for a WC at all this year. It was pretty iffy at best. BUT ... we play in a very weak division, winning the division was probably higher in probability ... and I still think it can be done ... BUT ... ugh ... not like this. If we could play like we played Cleveland, yes; but not like how we play the teams we should be beating. Losing to the White Sox and to Hector Santiago ... just ugh. I'm just not a happy camper right now.
  6. While I was one that felt strongly we needed a change in management, including Gardy ... I guess the proverbial adage ... 'Be careful what you wish for' ... is pretty spot on.
  7. No kidding. In my opinion this is where the trouble begins. It’s certainly not all on him and it doesn’t help when Santana, Mauer, Buxton, Castro are all on the DL, Polanco out on suspension, and Sano, Morrison, and Dozier make you wonder if they’ve ever play professional baseball before, but man, let’s just start with the lineups and work our way through to the BP. He is not a motivator and he just can’t get it together. I don’t even know where to start with the rest it’s just awful.
  8. Typically, how many of these picks sign?
  9. http://twinsdaily.com/topic/30174-article-twins-select-trevor-larnach-in-the-first-round-of-the-2018-draft/?do=findComment&comment=755165
  10. Call it now ,,, who’s it gonna be?
  11. How much ahead of the pick to these guys know they are being picked?
  12. I don't have to look back to know that. Thanks a lot, Seth ... for making us all look at ourselves!
  13. Everyone has explained to you what Nick meant by leadership in the context of this article. Move on.
  14. I’d rather have Machado in the mix somewhere. Okay, I’ll stop. Okay, I’ll try to stop.
  15. I would assume that both teams approve when they play the make up games? After today the White Sox play 20 in a row with no days off (unless I misread their schedule.) My guess is they wanted that day? And the Twins have just played 10 in a row without a day?
  16. I said this in the RP of the Month thread, but is Van Steensel still considered a prospect? I get that he’s kind of remaking himself into a relief pitcher, but given his years in the minors and playing elsewhere, is he really a prospect anymore? That said, I’m glad he’s doing well and hope he continues. He’s a good story.
  17. Because at 27yo I don’t think you can classify him as a prospect? He’s been signed and released by a couple of teams (the Twins being one), played elsewhere and is now back in the Twins org as a relief pitcher. Also, that link takes you to the org’s top 30 prospects and even if Van Steensel were considered a prospect, he wouldn’t be in the top 30.
  18. Um, what? Joe Vavra? You mean Gene Glynn?
  19. I think that describes everyone’s expectations and frustrations with the season thus far. I’m hoping this upward offensive trend continues.
