  1. Incredibles 2 - loved it! But I especially loved the score ... if you like movie scores, stay through all the end credits.
  2. Thanks, heezy! Once again, educating the masses here at TD.
  3. Your last sentence hits it ... it's why I'm a fan ... you never really know what will happen. But it's also frustrating when the weirdness affects your team in a not-so-optimal way. Such is life. But the starting rotation ... what will happen when Santana is back? Guess that could be its own thread discussion and not sure when that will be so that could affect the answer ... who I would switch out today might not be the same in two weeks.
  4. He cut his finger. I read that while his rehab start date might be pushed back, they still expect his return to the big club on July 2nd.
  5. Polanco cut his finger. While his rehab assignment is pushed back, they still think he’ll be ready July 2. There was this: https://www.twincities.com/2018/06/13/suspended-twins-shortstop-jorge-polanco-ramping-up-for-july-2-return/ Followed by this: https://www.cbssports.com/fantasy/baseball/news/twins-jorge-polanco-rehab-assignment-pushed-back/
  6. Brian, with all due respect, you don’t need to characterize my desire to see Nick Gordon get his feet wet this year as impatient. I happen to think it’s a good strategy to get our prospects ready. That’s why we have 6 years of control ... to be able to bring them up and send them down to prepare them. Disagree, fine, but this isn’t about anyone being impatient, but seeing things differently than you. I’m not saying he needs to be up yesterday or tomorrow, I just think he needs a taste this year to plan better for next. Gordon needs to know first hand what will be expected. As for Sano, I have no idea what will happen. I was all for being patient with him and in hindsight, maybe that wasn’t what was a good thing to do.
  7. Um, okay ... and that’s means .... ???
  8. Yeah, I’m not for calling him up right now and have said so given his performance so far in AAA. But if in a month or so, he’s figured out that next level to a degree that we’re seeing forward movement, I would have no issue with getting him up this year for a taste and hope that happens. I don’t care about the service clock like some are. I want him ready when we are at our most competitive. As I said above, I wish they had gotten him to AAA a little sooner, but whatever. We’ll just have to wait and see.
  9. I think this service time stuff is overblown. I think our window of contention will be gone by the time Gordon’s service time is over which is why I don’t think it will matter if the clock starts this year or next. Get him up this year to see what he needs to get ready for. However, he’s not ready yet, and maybe he won’t be this year. But the minute he shows signs of it, you bring him up and show him where he needs to be. We need him to be in this Rosario, Kepler, Sano, Buxton window.
  10. Yeah, which is why I wanted to promote him to AAA a bit sooner, but it likely wouldn’t have made a difference.
  11. I would assume that, yes. And I don’t think that’s an over-reach to jump to that conclusion. I do think, however, it’s an over-reach to assume it’s because Sano is disgruntled and that this is somehow punitive.
  12. I think you are reaching with that assumption. Fort Myers has one of the best facilities. I don’t think this is punitive for disgruntledness, in fact everything I’ve read suggests yes, this is for work on his mechanics and conditioning.
  13. Who’s disgruntled and being removed?
  14. It won’t be Gordon until they remove someone from the 40-man.
  15. Why do you think so? I’d really like to know
  16. Didn’t check the news ... who’s coming up? Assume Mauer but haven’t heard.
  17. I wasn’t an advocate of his signing either time. Was difficult not to offer him a contract after last season, I suppose, but I wouldn’t have offered 3 years because you are right, they aren’t likely to fire him even though I think they should. All the woulda, coulda, shouldas won’t change what is, though, so I just sigh and complain some then turn off the tv and move on with a little hope that something changes but expecting nothing.
  18. I’ve been advocating they move him to the 7th or 8th spot until he starts hitting.
  19. Those are nice secondary moves. Getting a new manager would be primary for me.
  20. He is off the DL and was optioned. Castro was moved to 60-day DL to make room. This happened several days ago now. Maybe a week?
  21. It’s these decisione that makes less likely to watch the game. I’ll look at the video highlights (if there are any) afterwards.
  22. Is it unusual to have so few signed at this point? Or has this list just not been updated?
  23. I wasn’t sure which quote to give you in response so you get both ... The one from ‘The Shawshank Redemption’: Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies. Or what I always say about every baseball season: hope for the best, prepare for the worst.
  24. Time to bring up Gordon and give Dozier some more rest.
