  1. I'm using this post to step in here with a moderator note. Please start another thread, in the ML forum, if you want to have this discussion about Sano. This is not the thread for it. Please keep on topic.
  2. It's only a jinx if I ate it before the game. Am hoping to have a late night chicken dinner.
  3. I baked chicken tonight for dinner. I know, I know ... cart before the horse. But it's what I wanted for dinner ... chicken, roasted corn, 4-bean salad ... yum! Those who know me best (spinowner) knows I don't really do much cooking, so this is a big deal. So ... win Twins!!
  4. Yeah ... Princess caught a rabbit once, too ... I don't think Beebo was as fast as Princess, but man, could he jump ... he'd hang out on the roof of the house ... no dog would catch him there.
  5. Yep ... this, all of this. I had a cat growing up, her name was Princess ... and I saw her outrun just about everything. And catch just about everything. She was a scrapper and had a notch out of her ear to prove it; and she was smart. I saw her once sitting under a tree being nonchalant, grooming herself and just being cool about life. Well, there was this blue jay in the tree. And the blue jay was yakking at her and my Princess just ignored him. So then he started swooping at her. She went about her business like he wasn't there. And he kept swooping lower, and lower, and lower ... BAM! She gave that jay a swat and lucky for him she didn't snag him with a claw or it would have been all over for him. Lesson learned. But I wasn't a fan of the dead rat she brought home one day and left in the backyard to almost be mowed over. She fought the rat ... and won.
  6. Interesting that the ChiSox are likely going to win their game with KC tonight after sweeping the Astros. Goes to show you that even a dismantled team such as the Sox are can always surprise you. And hoping that Boston can finish off the Yankees tonight, too.
  7. This is a game thread on TD and not a trash Mauer thread on rube chat. I suggest you keep that in mind going forward.
  8. Was the 4th one not that same pitch?
  9. Everyone rails on Joe, where's the same love for Sano?
  10. Okay, threaders ... it's time to step up ... yeah, Aggies, I'm looking at you ... and everyone else ... four dates remain for August ... 17, 26, 30 and 31 ... Chief and I will await your PM's.
  11. Maybe we should have a game thread party at Aggies' ... don't tell him when, just show up.
  12. I was joking, actually. But I rarely drink at home. And I don't particularly like wine ... although you wouldn't guess that by seeing all the wine I have ... all gifts.
  13. Man, the Tigers announcers were just as enthusiastic about that catch as anyone ... I mean ... gotta appreciate that kind of a catch no matter who made it.
  14. Yes, and on the Tigers board, too.
  15. Holy crap! What more can one say about that catch! Sheesh!
  16. And on a Tigers board somewhere, someone is saying that Upton didn't even try to jump for it.
  17. Oh, heh ... well ... I wasn't really drinking during the game. I was out and about and had been drinking and came home to watch the end of the game. I mean, who drinks at home alone?
  18. What bag? Are you calling me a bag???
  19. At this point in the summer, it's just difficult for me. Work tires me out. But I'm on vacay for 3 weeks after the 20th.
