    Ryan's second stint signaled the change in philosophy from "pitch to contact" and hit to the opposite field to power pitching and hitting. Most of the results of those changes came after his departure.

    So the cavalry consists of a SS who might take half a decade to become as good as the current guy, a 3B who might be as good as the current guy, or might not, and a guy who along with Arraez will give us two no power no glove guys. Trying to be positive here but struggling to do so.

    The object is to win ballgames. One thing we've learned the last few years is that there is more than one way to accomplish that. As far as the fourth had goes, regarding known injury risk and downward trend of the past two seasons, we might not have targeted the right guy but we may have traded the right guy....

    I don't think it really matters what we want. If Correa stays it's almost certainly because he got hurt or had a really bad year.
