  1. It"s just an opinion. And anything is possible. Now I must visit the wizard of Oz about my bad back.
  2. I thought there was going to be some information about call ups?
  3. 2023 Keaschall starts in Wichita and Jenkins in Cedar Rapids. Jenkins ges a May promotion to Wichita and boh move to St. Paul in August.
  4. 1. Set noon Monday EST as the start over time.
  5. I have two thoughts. 1. The current waiver methodology should be changed. If get a player, you should go to the back of the line in priority. 2. For all three additions, the Guardians only will have added a couple million more dollars to their payroll. That's still getting by pretty cheaply.
  6. As I look back 32 years to 1991 and 36 years to 1987, what comes to me is "nice for a while but now, not such a big deal.". And a whole lot of crap since then. I would rather be like the Dodgers or Braves and be in the hunt every year with an occasional title.
  7. Nope. I would rather see the Twins compete every year.
  8. If Baldelli had left Pagan in the game and the same result happened, you would be complaining that Baldelli never should have left Pagan in the game, especially with a left hander ready in the bullpen. 20/20 hindsight is pretty accurate, ain't it?
  9. For nearly 70 years, I played hockey. Sixty of those were as a goalie. I know what getting hit by a fast-moving solid object feels like. Goalie equipment was pretty flimsy in the 50's and 60's. You learn that the pain is usually short-lived and that bruises go away (although usually replaced by new ones). Hat's off to Wallner for standing his ground.
  10. I've had plantar fasciitis and it is painful. I don't know how Correa continues to play every day. Kudos to him. Kudos is an odd word. It sounds like an about-to-be extinct bird from New Zealand.
  11. I looked at the latest odds for winning the World Series and the Twins are second to last (only the Brewers have worse odds). I think any opponent will be a challenge.
  12. I'll play "devil's advocate." It's quite possible that Baldelli called Ober into his office and explained that he was being sent to the minors to rest his arm and get physically and mentally prepared for the post season. It's nothing negative about his pitching, just playing the system to the Twins advantage. He still gets his MLB salary. And he'll be back before the playoffs begin.
  13. RpR is the Mr. Grinch of Twins Daily. All his comments are negative.
  14. You can't get experience if they won't let play. How awful would Martin have to play to not be an improvement over Gallo or Luplow.
  15. I'm satisfied. Especially because Graterol went to the NL instead of Boston.
  16. Martin, Lee, and Stevenson: 11 ABs, 6 hits, 3 BBs, 3 SBs, 3 Ks. Gallo, Solano, and Luplow: 7 ABs, 0 hits, 1 BB, 0 SB, 4 Ks. Anyone else think that there might be room on the Twins for some new blood?
  17. So close to staying on topic. It took seven comments before the first complaint about not adding a reliever at the deadline. So close.
  18. I don't think he will either. I'm just not convinced he's a good bullpen option with those splits.
  19. My only concern with your suggestions is moving Ober to the bullpen. He has a 5.71 ERA in the first two innings he pitches and a 2.31 ERA after that. I would prefer to see the opposite for a reliever.
  20. Another article about the Twins not adding a reliever at the deadline. Yawn.
  21. I went to the site and played around a little but I couldn't find where it said ball or strike.
  22. Actually, your two comments are somewhat contradictory. First you say that you don't think they are better at judging the zone just because they are familiar with it. But then you say it's because they are better at judging the zone. Where do you think they learned how to judge the zone in professional baseball? By working their way to the majors through leagues with robotic umpires. If you have a consistent strike zone for three or four years in a row, you become a good judge of the strike zone (unless you have no discipline whatsoever).
