    I'm happy that Cruz will be back in 2020. I'm not sure how many AL teams would have been willing to go past $12M for him at his age and him being basically a full time DH. Offer Odorizzi the QO so at the worst he accepts it and we are only stuck overpaying for 1 season over a 3-4 year deal. Odds are he might turn it down hoping for a long term deal. Which he won't get being tied to draft pick compensation. Cron has got to go. The power is great for sure, but we can't have him back being a defensive liability. I would rather have an excellent glove that would hit .270 with 10-20 Hr.

    So you want to bring him up and hope he gets hot so can cannot play in the postseason? The Twins can patch together a team to win the division. The playoffs... it could be really ugly if these injuries still linger.

    We have players that need rest badly and need someone to fill in. A good move. After this upcoming week the division will be done as well. Too bad Rooker isn't healthy.

    I don't think any team would give up a pick for any of the 3. Dallas Keuchel went unsigned this year because he was handcuffed with the QO. Anyone not an ace would go through the same thing he did.

    I would rather offer him the QO than a long term deal. If he performs good in 2020 then we can go through this another time. I just don't want to see this turn into a Phil Hughes deal that we would regret. Better to overpay for 1 year than get burned on a long term deal.

    I am very happy with what I have seen from Sergio Romo. Great veteran leadership for starters and the fact that he has all those WS rings. I hope he would be interested in resigning with the Twins this winter. I also love the interviews.

    The White Sox will most likely be contending next year. They have always been aggressive in making trades and their owner is not afraid of spending money. 2 things that the Twins won't do.

    Can't trade Eddie when Buxton cannot stay healthy. You can have all the prospects you want doesn't mean they will succeed at the major league level. It might be better to trade some OF prospects. Just remember all the hype on pitching prospects Stephen Gonsalves & Fernando Romero for starters. If the Twins dealt them before they were promoted they could have cleaned up. Now, they could almost both be DFA candidates.

    One of the greatest OBP for a player that neds up batting 6th or 7th most days. When you figure that out please let me know. You also don't win games in the playoffs without table setters to get bigger innings going and to get to the pen earlier.

    Hate to say I agree. I was against signing him to a major league deal and lost my mind when I found out it had an option on it. Then he started pitching great and thought they were brilliant for making the deal. Now I'm ready to move on. Maybe the best thing would be to put him on the IL to give him a rest. He has thrown quite a few more innings this year than he did last year so maybe he needs some rest. Time for a fake injury.

    Dobnak pitched great tonight in relief. Sad thing is that he most likely will be sent down right away since he threw 68 pitches and they will want the next fresh arm from Rochester to replace him. He made a great impression and he will be back.

    Without adding at least 2 RP and a SP that are all quality arms this team will not make it out of the 1st round of the playoffs if they still make them.

    Very reasonable contract! He has been a K machine this season. Yes, we got burned on him because he never had a Spring Training. After we were his "Spring Training" and dealt him he improved. I would rather have 2 years $20M Lynn than whatever Kyle Gibson ends up getting.

    Miss the playoffs or make the playoffs and be one and done. It would be nice to see the Twins be as aggressive in the trade market as they are DFA RP's lately.

    I would take back to back to back to back losing 100 games a season for another World Series in my lifetime.
