  1. Obviously I have nothing to back this up, but I just feel like guys like Dak Prescott, Tony Romo, have that “it” factor except in reverse, they are always going to screw something up.
  2. If I were a bettin man I would have bet that with both hands
  3. I would like to see an actual study on this. It feels like too many guys are thrown into the fire and it doesn’t work out. We watched the cheeseheads across the border let Rodgers hold the clipboard for Favre for years, then Love hold the clipboard for Rodgers for years. No QB issues over there. I don’t follow this like you, but the vibe I am getting now is that there are only a couple QBs in this draft that are really good bets, but maybe one of these higher gamble guys would turn out ok with a couple years of seasoning
  4. I totally agree with this. I think I am back on the Kirk train now, and if the Vikings brain trust has identified a QB in this draft they like, they should trade up or down for that guy and let him hold the clipboard for Kirk for a couple years and let a third guy like Mullins, Hall or Dobbs be the “backup” until Kirk is done. Also, don’t just draft a QB for the sake of drafting a QB.
  5. Holy cow. Kirk is not exactly sending mixed signals or playing his cards close.
  6. That franchise needed someone like Campbell, though.
  7. NFC South teams aren’t cooperating today. Playoff dreams are getting dimmer. If there is no chance for the playoffs, and the Vikings are down by one point on the final play, and Joseph is lining up for a game winning field goal… ?
  8. Detroit apparently coming out flat early. Human nature.
  9. Lots of games with playoff ramifications today, which we don’t always see in the final week. Packers are win and in. NFC South division is still completely undecided among 3 teams. Buffalo potentially plays a Win and #2 seed or lose and go home game tonight. Fun day ahead if you are an NFL fan. QB slotting: Starting Mullins, 2 is Dobbs, 3 Hall Weird stuff: Dalvin Cook was released this week, and picked up by Baltimore.
  10. Detroit -3.5, 47.5, Vikings +166/100 Hopes are dim. Vikings need to win and see Pack lose, Seattle lose on the road to Arizona, and either Tampa Bay or New Orleans lose. Lots of us seem just fine having the Vikings lose and get a nicer draft position. I’m ok with that too. Win-Win! lol
  11. I don’t know if O’Connell has announced his QB for next Sunday, but I would give it to Jaren Hall and let him play the whole game. I don’t know if they are still trying to evaluate Hall or not. If not, then sure release him in the offseason and go with Dobbs or Mullens this week instead. There are people in the league who can identify quarterback talent, though not every team has them. Green Bay seems to have it. Spielman didn’t have it. I would like to know if Adofo-Mensah is that guy or has people to rely on who can. I think in the NFL, you don’t necessarily have to go into deep rebuilds like in baseball. I am fine trying to re-sign Cousins for a discount, but that feels like win-next-year or else, to me. Also, a fourth place schedule next year would be really nice. There is quite a drop with teams like Arizona and Carolina.
  12. Clifford now quarterbacking for Green Bay
  13. That’s the kind of play we need… (unfortunately the score is not great)
  14. 3rd and 1, and… … delay of game.
  15. You gotta hand it to Kirk for that 33-0 comeback last year
  16. Kirk getting hurt really set us back, no doubt. I was still looking forward to watching a playoff game with no expectations this year. We sat through the Zimmer decade and I’m gonna give this regime a couple more seasons to show something. edit—ok maybe not that long
  17. Didn’t have time to type before the play
  18. Honestly the play there is to take the meager amount of points
  19. LOL that play could have gotten Jefferson smoked again
  20. I mean, I guess it’s never too late to sign another guy off the street to play QB for the Lions game next week
  21. I guess if you are in this thread, that means you care?… 🙂 I need to give the new KAM/KOC at least a couple more years before I start hate watching the Vikings again, if that’s what you are wondering. Yes I would have liked to see the Vikings make the playoffs this year (doesn’t look possible at the moment)
  22. Crazy the Bears are still alive for a playoff berth.
