  1. What’s more, is that both Royce Lewis and Brooks Lee currently profile best at shortstop. Even last season, Lee still played virtually every game at shortstop, despite no path to short in the majors. Anyway, like Lewis, Lee is a lock to be a solid major league contributor. I never once pumped the brakes on Lewis and I will continue to be bullish on Lee as well.
  2. I really hate the injuries but it's a fun time to be a Vikings fan right now.
  3. The Guardians need some upgrades for sure, but they lost Bieber and McKenzie to injury last season, which the writer fails to mention. Imagine if the Twins had lost Pablo Lopez and Sonny Gray to injury. Cleveland is young and well run. They actually advanced further in the postseason in 2022 than the Twins did in 2023, if that means anything. No reason to think they are entering a dark age based off of one bad season.
  4. Another big asset for Wallner, not mentioned in the article, is his arm strength. This would make Wallner a much better fit in right field.
  5. Same thing happened to Torii Hunter in 2006 against Oakland, ball under the glove in a big spot, if I recall.
  6. Disaster.
  7. Yeah, nothing more frustrating.
  8. Meh, I don’t know. No opinion. It’s not like he looked tired or struggling. Not that I watch a lot of Zac Gallen starts, though.
  9. I thought they banned the shift…
  10. Seems like Mike Maddux has been a pitching coach forever.
  11. I’ll stop 🙂
  12. Could be one of those situations tonight where Gallen loses the no hitter, the shutout, and the lead, all on one pitch.
  13. No, what? 🙂
  14. Would be super fun to see Gallen take this no-no into the deep innings.
  15. gotta feel bad for the guy with the $10 million arizona ticket at this point
  16. Texas has gone undefeated in all their road games this postseason. That is just incredible.
  17. Fixed that for ya… 🙂
  18. No truer thread title ever existed, unfortunately. Cousins has really hit his stride after getting out from under Zimmer. Hope he has a complete recovery and we see him in the league again in 2024.
  19. I think it’s a stretch to say the whole league would love to have Kepler or that the Twins could trade him for a ton of value, but I get your point. Ultimately the front office needs to recognize that they have internal options that are more cost effective. If Kepler goes somewhere and leads his team to a World Series like Rosario did, well, then, good for him. 🙂
  20. Verdugo has shown more consistency than Kepler and is three years younger. Kepler had a great second half but I think teams will be calling Boston before they call the Twins this offseason.
  21. Then I think the Twins should trade Kepler to one of those teams, and receive quite a bit of value in return.
  22. Then that would have to be a player option for Sonny, not a team option. I do agree with you that declining Kepler’s option and moving Wallner to right looks like an easy decision.
  23. wonders will never cease, no. 🙂 winders, sands, balazovics will cease, tho..
  24. Cousins showed some POISE on that pass
  25. Is every NFL game like this now, with players writhing in pain every few plays? Hunger games out here. Now I remember why I am drifting away from football as I get older.
