  1. Have a fun party! Those of us that can't get off work will still be there cheering in spirit!
  2. When Berrios was traded in 2021, at that point he was leading the AL in innings pitched. When the Twins have had good/quality starting pitching, they've let them do their thing.
  3. Came here just to add... I don't know where he will end up at the end of the season. But I do think the Twins have a number of young position player prospects that will look mighty attractive to other teams come July. Lee, Julien, Rodriguez, Miranda, Lewis, Wallner, Salas et al (I'm not saying I want to trade ANY of them, just saying.) I don't THINK they will trade Miranda, but to get a bigger name player, you have to give something. Exciting times :)
  4. That was a fun survey! I have a really hard time assuming who will be a relief pitcher to start the year, so that one (to me) is anyone's guess. Thanks!
  5. Hypothetically, if Miranda were to flip to 1b, with Royce Lewis at 3b (just roll with me here) where would you put Miranda in the 1b pecking order? Inquiring minds.
  6. When Buxton is healthy and playing in September and October this year, playing him at dh early will have been completed worth it
  7. I listened to the radio broadcast of the game with the mlb app. It was the Yankees feed. John Sterling and Suzyn Waldman were certainly a LOT more positive about the Twins and their players than I would guess a majority of Twins fans are. It was fun to hear that perspective.
  8. Mahle is a definite in this regard. I don't think he should be in the discussion to not be a part of this. Not even really close. Ober has looked really good so far, in 2 inning stints. He has to show he can pitch a full year at some point to really be counted on. Maeda has done it before, and I would imagine is on track to be good to go at some point. Coming back from tommy john is different for every pitcher. We'll see.
  9. Gotta say, impossible burgers do taste pretty good :)
  10. If they are both back in April, then this is a nothing-burger. I'd rather they be fully healthy and ready to go if nothing else, and the depth is there this year to back up.
  11. Looks great! Even more reason to head there to catch a game!
  12. I'm in the 84-88 range, and IF health is solid in July, then I anticipate addition(s) will happen to better the team come playoff time. IF things truly break right, I can see low 90's in wins. I also think the floor is very high, and I don't see a way that the team wins less than 80.
  13. I still think Todd Walker has an all-star season upcoming. Any year now :)
  14. This would be a homerun if it falls like this. Any of these top 5 being there would be OUTSTANDING.
  15. Nope, but I remember that thread VERY well. Wasn't it like 22,000 pages or something like that?
  16. Ober's stuff looks great right now. I hope he can throw more than 100 innings in a season at some point. Maybe 2023 is that year?
  17. I guess I care about him being healthy in September and October a LOT more than I do in early/mid march. I'll worry a week to 10 days from now if the number is still zero for him, if that makes sense.
  18. Ok, let's say there aren't injuries between now and opening day, how would you lay out your pitching rotation? Here is a thought... 1) Lopez 2) Mahle 3) Ryan 4) Gray 5) Ober Bullpen Maeda Moran Alcala Pagan Thielbar Jax Duran Lopez This would mover Megill and Cole Sands to AAA, but it lines up ok right? The order of the starting rotation could change, Thoughts?
  19. Count me among those who were pining for both DeLeon and Stewart in a Dozier trade back in the day. :)
  20. I thought Brock wrote this article a little while back, but wasn't it titled "The twins CAN'T trade ________ player! That was a fantastic article.
  21. I’m just surprised the author could only find one fan willing to be interviewed for this article :)
  22. He is exciting Jamie. Awesome article! Have a great day!
  23. More power to him. I make that deal for Mahle every single day of the week. I have zero doubt the Twins ended up with the best player in that trade, and it's really not all that close.
  24. DH against righties, and where does he play against lefties when the DH spot is PROBABLY (at least my guess) going to Buxton? That could work though, I like the thinking. Julien's bat certainly looks ready, even if there are questions for where he can help the team defensively.
