  1. Now all we need is Teri Hatcher saying that the win was real, and yes the win was spectacular :)
  2. I feel like Kepler is going to be fighting to come back if everyone else is healthy. I also think that Royce Lewis might be in this mix come June. But yeah, hopefully health is good for this group.
  3. I think IF Polanco and Kirilloff are both going to be back this month (let's say that's the case) then I think Julien will have a hard time getting called up unless/until another major injury happens. Which could be at any point, right? I do think more and more that Kepler is the one who is going to have to fight to save his job. With Gallo looking solid so far this year, if he and Kirilloff and Larnach are all healthy, I don't know how Kepler gets at bats in front of them. Once Buxton starts playing more and more in the field, probably starting in May, that will open up more options for a player like Julien. Keep hitting at St. Paul and force the issue.
  4. Best targeted (real life) ad I ever saw; I was golfing at Hidden Greens in Hastings years back, and I sliced my drive on hole one into the trees. I see a sign on a tree as I walk to find my ball, and it read "If you can read this sign, call this number, I'm a golf teacher and I will fix your slice." I didn't call, but I still remember the ad :)
  5. I clicked on Kyle Jones' link as he is listed as the pitcher for Cedar Rapids above. It lists Kyle as a 2b/ss still in college. I think the starting pitcher isn't that player. FYI
  6. Dullard is such a great burn. That one needs to be used much more often.
  7. I see the Rangers have the 4th pick, but the 16th most draft slot money to use. This is due to losing their 2nd and 3rd round picks with the signings of DeGrom and Eovaldi. Jeremy, what do you think the chances are that the Rangers take a signability player at #4 due to this? I'd have to imagine the odds of that are fairly high, no?
  8. Most scouting reports I've seen on Salas don't believe that he will be a SS in the majors. Stay there as long as you can, but he more likely will flip to 3b eventually. As far as high A goes, I hope both of them have healthy and productive seasons. They both are exciting for different reasons.
  9. I wish Steer well. He seems like a good dude, and he has an opportunity to make his place in MLB. Good for him. IF he becomes a 5 time all star, I'd be shocked. I suppose every team has to have an all star, but the pitching in Cincy looks pretty bright for a few years now. I'm not going to lose sleep over him being traded to bring in Mahle though. I'm excited we have a pitcher as quality as Mahle is.
  10. Both of them have a LONG way to go to get there. A LONG way. Heck, they'd have a LONG WAY to go to make our roster right now, right? If they get a chance elsewhere and even become mlb regulars, good for them. Wish them the best. Also hoping for a Mahle extension at some point. You make this trade every single day of the week when you were in the position Twins were at that point.
  11. Why in the world would the Twins take back the trade? Steer and Encarnacion Strand don't have a place here with the Twins, and Mahle (when healthy) is a #2 starter. He certainly looked it last night. When the Twins have a playoff rotation that includes Lopez, Mahle and Ryan, would you still take back the trade of a couple prospects we don't have space for?
  12. What a roster! This one may be the most interesting of all affiliates for prospect fans. Don't love reading that Marco Raya has any sort of shoulder issue though. That's concerning.
  13. 100%. This was a great article, and I agree completely. This and the ghost runner. Both of those should not be in postseason play. Thanks!
  14. This headline should have been used by Randball Stu :) But yes, I am happy they have depth.
  15. Have a fun party! Those of us that can't get off work will still be there cheering in spirit!
  16. When Berrios was traded in 2021, at that point he was leading the AL in innings pitched. When the Twins have had good/quality starting pitching, they've let them do their thing.
  17. Came here just to add... I don't know where he will end up at the end of the season. But I do think the Twins have a number of young position player prospects that will look mighty attractive to other teams come July. Lee, Julien, Rodriguez, Miranda, Lewis, Wallner, Salas et al (I'm not saying I want to trade ANY of them, just saying.) I don't THINK they will trade Miranda, but to get a bigger name player, you have to give something. Exciting times :)
  18. That was a fun survey! I have a really hard time assuming who will be a relief pitcher to start the year, so that one (to me) is anyone's guess. Thanks!
  19. Hypothetically, if Miranda were to flip to 1b, with Royce Lewis at 3b (just roll with me here) where would you put Miranda in the 1b pecking order? Inquiring minds.
  20. When Buxton is healthy and playing in September and October this year, playing him at dh early will have been completed worth it
  21. I listened to the radio broadcast of the game with the mlb app. It was the Yankees feed. John Sterling and Suzyn Waldman were certainly a LOT more positive about the Twins and their players than I would guess a majority of Twins fans are. It was fun to hear that perspective.
  22. Mahle is a definite in this regard. I don't think he should be in the discussion to not be a part of this. Not even really close. Ober has looked really good so far, in 2 inning stints. He has to show he can pitch a full year at some point to really be counted on. Maeda has done it before, and I would imagine is on track to be good to go at some point. Coming back from tommy john is different for every pitcher. We'll see.
  23. Gotta say, impossible burgers do taste pretty good :)
