    I guess I’d like to wait and see him pitch a few games with this team before anointing him number 1 starter. But he sounds promising.

    They realized where the weaknesses were, and directly addressed them. I couldn’t realistically ask for more. I’d like to point out that the emergence of Miranda made a lot of this possible, It kept most of the 40-man intact.

    My gut hunch is that there will be one decent RP and one controllable catcher involved. For the reasons you brought up, probably the other bidding wars will go up too high.
