  1. Just to make the crunch crunchier with crunchberries, it sounds like Lewis begins his rehab stint in earnest at Wichita on Thursday, moving up to St. Paul afterwards, and then?
  2. Right, both Miranda and Larnach should be expected back. But, they both need to correct some things and get some swagger back.
  3. Larnach will be back; he needs some time to sort things out and gain confidence. I can see the same for Miranda when Farmer is activated. As far as when everyone is up together? It’s likely there will be activity at the trade deadline, and it may take that long.
  4. I didn’t see the game as I was attending a drunken philosophers meetup. But by all accounts Ober impressed. That’s good, because he’s likely up for the duration. Now we need to see if Varland can do this, too.
  5. He may, in fact, be renewable.
  6. I think a short kick-in-the-behind stint in AAA may do Miranda and Larnach both some good. I'd be okay if one went down for Farmer and the other for Kiriloff next week. Then in another ten days see how they're all doing, see where Lewis is at, and see if Buxton is tried out in the field.
  7. I don’t need lights out; I just need sufficiency. As always, perfection is the enemy of good.
  8. He played his first rehab game for the Saints today, going 0-3. Maybe a week or so?
  9. I think the posts are being multiplied by i (square root of -1) and are rotated out of phase of our normal perception. Maybe the same is happening with the broadcasts.
  10. This is a fascinating experiment in time travel.
  11. The lack of options is a real killer here. My gut hunch is he will be passed through waivers when Farmer comes back. Have to see what happens then.
  12. I’ve come to feel that this whole narrative about Kepler has largely been, and continues to be, manufactured. This will all play out on its own without any external push. He may be traded during or after the season; that’s the way this business works. But right now he’s contributing, and why is that being overlooked?
  13. Do I have to? Seems like a recipe for migraines.
  14. Why do so many fans do the same? Seems like a pretty human response.
  15. My first takeaway is that the Yankees may have a tough time making the postseason, and if they do it would be as a wildcard.
  16. When he is called up, I gotta believe it will be with the intention of being permanent and for playing mostly every day. This may also coincide with Buxton starting to play in the field some, opening the DH spot.
  17. Tangential to the current discussions but Cole Sands’ 15 days down is up on Saturday 29th April, so he could be recalled any time beginning then. This will bear more on the Headrick replacement than anything else.
  18. Were I a betting man I’d lay down on Kiriloff returning around 9th May when the next homestand begins against the Padres.
  19. The obvious answer here is Winder. I’d like to see how that plays out and am not opposed to the idea of having two multi-inning relievers; say Winder and Headrick.
  20. Of the things in this world that truly bum me out; this is not one of those. This is like PB4WEGO or Dominoes tater tots.
  21. Putting players in AAA with the objective of working on specific issues is not giving up on them.
