    Always liked Plouffe as a player & a personality, a true Twin. He was so stiff & straight lace in his 1st presentation but sure that'll change.

    Thank you Roger for stating this. I've been lambasted for suggesting Lewis not to play especially in the OF. Lewis will play anywhere you put him. I'm glad he has an agent who is smart enough to advise the Twins on where they should play him because the Twins will play him anywhere they feel like. I'd like to see that agent statement. I like to see Brook Lee at 3B because quickness & sure glove long term & Lewis at 2B because of his range. If Correa gets moved off SS he'd move to 3B because of his arm.

    They need to keep Gordon in the OF where he's naturally better instead of systematically trying to jam in the INF where doesn't fit. Last year was a good year to give Helman a shot at 2B. Lewis is a spark plug that can get any team fired up.

    I agree with MLR that Contreras is MLR, does he need a little bit more seasoning in the Bigs? Could he back Buxton up next year? Severino continues to impress me, Early this season Cossetti has been on my radar, IMO he needs a lot more work on his defense but his hitting is great. Speaking about backing up Buxton, where is Celestino at?

    After the ordeal in NYY stadium, MN went into a slight funk. Fortunately the return of Polanco has gotten us out of it. The return of Polanco has kept Gordon in the OF where he belongs & now he's showing some life. We got the momentum on our side but CWS & especially CLE will try to disrupt that so we need to play them tough, Duran looked human but with warmer weather the team will look better. I'm looking forward to Kiriloff & Lewis coming back even though it'll cause some issues. Ober & Varland will be fine. If Larnach continues to have difficulty to adjust to off speed he might also be sent down in favor of Kiriloff. We had a good April but May, June & July will be better.

    Gray & Buxton were great! I've always said that Gordon plays best in the OF, Keep him there.

    Just because Gallo is pretty good cOF & has played CF doesn't mean he's a good CF or should play there. But give him a try against RHPs so Kiriloff can come back isn't a bad idea.

    IMO any time in the MLB is not wasted. The 5 innings he pitched earlier is invaluable. Headrick is 4th man on the totem pole behind Ober, Varland & SWR and any innings he gets in the MLB level would be much more valuable than in AAA. IMO will be a SP but that does mean he can't get some time in at long relief on the MLB level

    We have a roster crunch right now. I like our chances with the incoming support better than those you recommended, there's no guarantee on them either. The main cold hitters are Correa, Miranda & Kepler. Kepler has been turning it on, Miranda is heating up a little, Correa is the only one that's really lagging behind & I don't recommend switching him out but drop him down the order might wake him up as MNfireman stated.

    Twins couldn't generate much & KC beat us by small ball. Ober had a pretty good game considering.

    Gordon's best shot is OF, that's where he plays best. The addition of Gallo & Taylor plus hanging unto Kepler & Larnach was hot with Kiriloff ready to come back. has really put a crimp on Gordon's opportunity to make it in the OF. I really like the contributions that Gordon has done in the OF the last 2 seasons but because of what FO has done & not done Gordon's Goose is cooked. So I'd try to find a suiter for him but how he has been playing I doubt that there'll be any. Yet if he's DFAed he be gone, no doubt about it. Cave was gotten right away, if nobody else would claim him DET would.

    29 out of 30 times, I'd say Pablo Lopez go out there & pitch 7+ innings. He's used to MIA weather & has never pitched in cold & wet weather like this. If you're not used to this type of weather it could cause some issues. So this'd be the time if Lopez had to pitch just limit it to 5 innings. Yesterday, Lopez did not have his best stuff especially after 5. I'm just saying use some common sense, we want our best SPs in the rotation throughout the season & into the post season. Not the popular social media, LaRussa philosophy of having all your SPs pitch 7+ innings all the time no matter what, even if it results in injuries & ineffectiveness. I'm just voicing my opinion.

    With this kind of terrible weather, I was hoping that Lopez didn't have to pitch. But since he did, I thought the Twins would be considerate & only let him pitch 5 innings. To limit his suffering & chances to hurt something. When the 6th came around, I was shocked that Lopez was still out there, even more so after the 7th. Leading 8-2 is where Pagan comes in, if he allows some runs or gets hurt, it's no big deal. Pagan's on the roster this is how you use him, not risk your ace.

    Thanks Jamie I see your point. He has played a lot of catcher in years past. But this year they have him playing OF. I can't find out why but I imagine it's like Wyatt Langford the need was more in OF than catcher. Most reviews I've seen premiere him at catcher but that's might be changing since he hasn't played there this year.

    I'm not saying you're wrong but just curious Jamie on why you think Carrigg is not a catcher? The only knock I get about Carrigg is that he doesn't have that raw power yet. The few scouting reports I've read states that catching is his best value in the majors. Here's M SABRE comment. "A solid hitter with good speed and a good arm in center or at short is not too rare, but a switch hitting catcher with a strong arm, speed and a good hit tool will really turn some heads." They even compare him to Endy Rodriguez except Endy has developed much more power & Cole is much faster. The interesting thing with Carico is his raw power & his upper cut swing. I maybe wrong but sorry to me that has Sano written all over it.

    Thanks Jamie, I'm enjoying the Draft Board you provided. I'm really into the MLB draft too. Although I'm not that knowledgeable about a lot of prospects. Draft prospects are all over the place depending on which website & time taken. I've seen Wyatt Langford drop to #5 which would be nice but I doubt we'd be able to pick him up because I'm sure he'll rebound will be gone before then. I've seen both top prep Max Clark & Walker Jenkins jockeying up & down the rankings & both could be available to us. Also top college arms (which IMO should be high priority) Paul Skenes & Chase Dollander could be available. Wes Johnson has helped Skenes a lot to where most likely he'd be gone. Yet Dollander has dropped from #1 to #6, he might have the most upside, he'd be my guess of our 1st round pick right now. Early this year, our #34 pick I was hoping to pick up Kyle Teel, IMO the only decent college catcher available, which is a high priority, But his stock has been really rising, maybe his stock will rise to the point where he could be a dark horse for our 1st round pick. Actually my other #34 pick is another catcher Cole Carrigg, which has slipped in the ranking, IMO is because of his speed, pundit has listed him more utility than catcher, which is a big mistake because there are so few capable college catchers available & his athleticism is not a liability but a great asset. Although we could pick him up with our #49 pick, I wouldn't risk it & pick him as our #34. Teel bats LH & Carrigg switch, both are plus.

    Thanks Melissa, a fun article in what should be a fun series. I applaud the caution surrounding Mahle's arm, wish him a speedy recovery. Fortunately damage control was immediate. With Maeda & Mahle I have recommended to conserve their arms by limiting their pitches. With that in mind we also need to keep our short relief from over stretched & conserve them as much as possible. Long relief is the answer to both. In a situation where Steward was placed is very advantageous to such a pitcher where they have an opportunity to win the game. IMO long relief is a win for the 4th & 5th SP because it conserve them so they can start more games, lose less games and improve their stats. A win for short relief to conserve them so they remain fresh with better results. A win for potential starters that are long relief candidates who aren't ready for the MLB rotation load, so they can get some MLB innings in with good results. A win for the team & fans because with a rested & healthy pitching staff they'll win more games & go further in the post season. Even with Ober & Varland entering the starting rotation, basically rookies their pitches should also be limited because they haven't build up their strength & stamina yet by putting in a full MLB season.

    I expect a sweep. Now that Polanco is back, he has lit a fire under the line up. Even when Polanco wasn't even in the line up. Twins scored 6 runs in each of the NYY games, so I expect at least the same here. With the rotation of Mahle. Lopez, Gray & Ryan the Royals don't have a chance. Even if Baldelli puts all subs on the last day. Will we see Kiriloff? I hope so.

    Just like seeing Polanco excelling when he's 100%, so I'm also looking forward to Kiriloff mashing when he's called up. Which appears to be very soon.
