  1. RF- Tony Oliva 5 SP- Santana 3 2B- Dozier 2 1B- Morneau 3 C- Pierzinski 1 SS- Cardenas 2 DH- Cruz 1 RP- Reardon 2 3B- Gaetti 5 LF- Mack 3 CF- Puckett 5 CF
  2. Lewis is our best 3B right now although eventually he'll need to yield to Brooks Lee to get his switch-hitting bat in the line-up. Miranda is definitely not our 3B, no matter how hot his bat gets. Julien shouldn't be at 2B. Lewis isn't lucky, he makes his own luck. Anything that needs adjusting he has proven that he'll adjust,
  3. With the CWS competition. I believe can play a big role on the final positioning of the draft picks. Depending how well or bad they perform
  4. Thanks again Jamie. I'm really big on Cole Carrigg. Coming into this college season, IMO Carrigg was 2nd best college catcher out there. But much like Wyatt Langford, Carrigg was shifted from catcher to OF (he was good in the OF but IMO his worse position) because of need. Carrigg is very athletic & can excell anywhere. But because he was shifted off catcher many catorize him as w/o a position & rank him around maybe around our 3rd round pick, which I believe is wrong. Carrigg is a switch hitter, fast, a great arm & has a great hit tool that can still develop into pretty good power. I wouldn't want to take a chance on losing him to try to steal him in the 3rd round. So he's well worth our #49 pick as a catcher.
  5. Last year in Ober's rookie year, they used him too much too fast. This year they took him slower, slowly building in him stamina w/o injury. They just need to keep building on what they've done. The BP game was a good idea, to keep the rotation fresh. Now that Ober is ready he has a bright future.
  6. Williams is a victim of our team's focus on big bats, they focus on this in drafting & development. In the past they'd also horde these players. I really don't know Williams potential at catching but because of lack of patience in that catching was hindering his hitting, it was abandoned. His best attribute is probablly is his bat but because of our glut at borderline cOF/1B/DH, he's better off to be traded.
  7. Solano is Twins anti thesis of moonshots. Instead of piling up HRs when we don't need them & striking out when we do (thus winning blow outs & losing too many close games), Solano's line drives comes at clutch times, IMO we need more Solano type hitters.
  8. Happy about Cossetti's progress. Also interested in Martin's progress & how soon is Richardo Olivar ready to return to action.
  9. It was definitely worth signing Buxton. The problem is how he's being used. To begin season IMO it was OK to play Buxton DH during the cold weather to help protect him but now having him at fulltime DH is a waste.
  10. Reggie Jackson was known as Mr. October because he was so so during the season but turned it on whenever the bright lights came on. This spring Correa was not only poor but stunk, it's hard to take a leadership role when you're that bad. Correa normally has a good June & even better September going into & during the post season. Hopefully everyone healthy & Correa turns it on again in the Fall, which can take our team to the level they are capable of.
  11. If that was satire it was in poor taste. I assume that he liked that he was corrected but not the way that you did it.
  12. Lets tone it down, ashbury
  13. Thanks Jamie. Skenes would be a nice pick up, ranked at 3, it's a stretch to get him. But PIT has been known to sign under to save on prospect $. I've heard they would go after Max Clark who'd sign for less. that might leave a door open for Skenes. With Wes Johnson's mentoring it'll be hard to improve on him. I've heard that one draw back on Skenes, is that he can be somewhat easy to read. He could have some problems w/ some MLB hitters. Dollander would be a bargain at #7 if a team knows that they can fix his mechanics. But the Twins like big bats so I'd imagine he won't be on their radar. The remainder on your list is ditto.
  14. Happy birthaday Royce! 1 day after me, No wonder I really like the guy! I saw the video, it was really scary! God bless him
  15. The problem w/ the Twins is that they guage themselves to the team they are playing. Therefore winning series from good teams when they get the mo jo going & play flat against poor teams. They have some clutch hitters but you can't expect them to always do it on their own. Baldelli needs to shakes things up including himself
  16. How's it going Nash with your new job? Good to have you back here.
  17. 3B is basically Lewis's right now, but with Lewis's range he wont stay at 3B. He should be better utilized at SS or 2B. When Lee comes up, his best position is 3B, at that time it's his. And when Correa can no longer play SS? Then he'll move over at 3B. So I see Lewis's time at 3B is temporary. I believe Lewis could play SS right now in Correa's absense but I think they want to settle Lewis at 3B for this year. Miranda time at 3B is done, if Miranda & Julien tear up AAA & come up to MLB, their time should be limited to 1B/DH.
  18. It was obviuos that Martin wouldn't stick at SS, yet the Twins were determined to keep him there although Martin had a better avenue to the majors via OF & some 2B. They need keep Lewis in the INF so they should have gave him some time at 2B. Julien won't stick at 2B yet they keep him there, Kiriloff can play some OF so Julien best shot is 1B, so that's where they should play him.
  19. Bingo! Martin should be our #1 option of backing up Buxton. They wasted all last season playing him at SS & tinkering with his swing. He could be our best lead off hitter at least against LHPs. Of course the best solution is having Buxton there now. Until last year Cave was our choice & everybody thought he was great. Taylor, Gordon, Celestino, Martin are a far cry better choice than Cave. So we are in a far better situation than years past. I'd say Lewis would be our best solution at CF before his ACL issues, now he shouldn't be even considered as an option. And he shouldn't even need to be with our other inhouse options.
  20. Wallner has the tools to be super star. Yet the Twins seems to be satisfied only to try squeeze HRs out of him. He has the speed & arm to become a pretty good OF. They just need to develope that feel for that position, how to steal & take extra bases & hit for average & get on base with those aspects he seems pretty raw.. If they had focused on that there's no way they could keep him down. Good to have player rehabbing & progressing. Too bad Richardo Olivar sprained his hamstring, while he's quietly getting acqainted with FSL although as you said he won the FSL player of the week.
  21. Twins tends to lean toward college bats. I'd take Skenes if anything trade bait if they think he won't materialize. My 1st pick surely wouldn't be SS Gonzalas.
  22. IMO Nash hit the nail on the head, Castro is a gamer. He gets hit, steal & take a base when we need them. I'd rather have a player like that, than someone who piles up HRs when we don't need them & SO when we do. His versatility is a great benefit.
  23. i was thinking the same thing. the Twins need a spark plug. Lewis could be it. I was also dreaming of the Twins pinstripes of old. The focus has been on rebrand, IMO it should be on winning tradition of old & build off that. A lot of attention is focused on HR production & not clutch hitting. We've lost too many close games , while winning blow outs. A contendng team needs to win the close games.
  24. Bring up Lewis & ease him at 3B, when he's absolutely 100% & start lighting things up then let him take over. Lewis is a ROY candidate let's give him a chance to win it this year. But above all Lewis's health is priority, so keep him in the INF.
