Simply insane. Wallner is better right now than Gallo. The math says $11 million for Gallo and $720 thousand for Wallner.

And Kepler, far superior - $8.5 million.

I think I'm ready to pivot too. Trying to figure out what other MLB team to follow next season. MLB.tv is actually a pretty good deal. I can follow a different team for $100. I think it needs to be a National League team, I don't want to root against the Twins, just ignore them. I thought about following the Padres - I've sort of liked that team since they had Tony Gwynn. Problem is they're a west coast team and I can't stay up that late. The NL East teams are all either big market or not trying. I need a team that starts games at 6 or 7, not 9:00. St. Louis is the model of how to run a mid-market franchise. The Brewers look decent and they have no problem going for it if they're close to the playoffs. Any opinions on Brewers or Cardinals?

Cleveland is a fun team to watch. They pitch, field, run, hit, and have fun playing for the best manager in baseball.

The only thing we'll get from this FO "pivot" is a pulled groin.

I’m ready to pivot too.  I’ve been a diehard fan since 1987 (12 yrs old).  I went to games in the late 90s where there were less than 10,000 people in the stands.  

We used to budget one family game a month - for affordability.

Now it just isn’t worth it.  The cost to experience ratio is way off and the Twins better start listening to their fans before it is too late.  What is the financial level where they cannot afford to run Target Field anymore?

So to the point, I just can’t take it anymore.

I’d probably go with the Cardinals.  They seem to try on a consistent basis.

My goodness!  What?  A career .199 hitter.  If I was a GM, I'd not want him on my team.

That would probably be a statistical outlier.  I will need to see evidence of this being a good signing before I have any confidence.  I have no faith that this organization can compete.  Let's face it, 2019 was also a statistical outlier for this franchise since 2010.  And yes, the 2020 team was not that good.  They got lucky since they only played games against an awful AL central. And that team also finished 26-24 after a 10-2 start. Other than 2019 the Twins have been average to garbage  Going forward I will need to see it on the field, not just on paper or someone's opinion.  Right now I see a 75 win team unless I see a better record at the end of the 2023 season.  Since they signed the 19th corner outfielder on the 40 man, they will probably trade a young guy instead of Kepler, which means more of the same going forward.

If true, just another example of his lack of situational hitting.

He does have 77 career home runs with men on base, so that is a pretty good sacrifice fly....that goes over the fence.

Let's all just get along and agree that the Twins are STILL PIVOTING.... though one could argue that they are pivoting so fast now that they are just spinning in circles.... Dang.....this was supposed to be a unifying post!
