What was 2013's highlight?

Honestly the only two I can possibly think of are Albers first two starts and my personal favorite- the back-to-back homeruns off Darvish which also happened to be Morneau's final game as a Twin.

For a season it was probably Dozier's break out. Hopefully, he can keep it up.

Team wise, I probably enjoyed the Twins taking 2/3 from NY in NY to salvage a pretty rough road trip in July. Gibson outpitched Sabathia and we still had some hope that he would have a good season for us.

Someone needs to do some quick research to see if this is the first time a team has "hosted" the playoff-clinching game for three separate MLB teams. Think that says all you need to about this season...

I agree that for the season it is Dozier. Very exciting development to me.

For one play, I don't know if I can think of that one big thing. For me, that's partly because games aren't on broadcast tv anymore....

The game thread.

If forced to choose otherwise, player highlight was the pleasant surprise that was Dozier. Moment highlight was Mastro's leaping catch followed by his borrowing a belt from the bullpen to keep his pants from falling down in the outfield.

My highlight of the season was when Chris Herrmann hit the first Grand Slam by a Twin this season against the Angels a couple months ago. Before that happened Dick Bremer kept bringing up the fact that no Twin had hit a Grand Slam this season every time the Twins loaded the bases. It really started to grate on my nerves.

Thanks Chris.

Great choice. But was that really the only thing about Dickbert that got on your nerves? If so then only one word comes to mind:

The game I'll remember is Kyle Gibson's first start. It as a Saturday afternoon and the feeling in the stadium was absolutely electric. He also had a pretty good start (maybe his only pretty good start.)

I have a high tolerance for pain and annoyance. For some reason this one broke through my force field.

Because of the voices that have been constantly running through my head for the last twenty-something odd years - I have built a somewhat strong tolerance. I call them (the voices) Banjo and McMurtry.

Ahhh. That's handy, as long as you don't listen when one or both of them tell you to set things on fire...

Taking 3 of 4 from the Red Sox at Fenway back in May. It actually seemed like we could be a .500 team. What a mirage it was.

Well... yeah... that's a story for another day.

Jamey Carroll's perfect inning in relief.

I enjoyed rooting for Dozier, Arcia and Pinto during the year.

Its depressing to think that as of June 12 the Twins were 29-33 and hoping for improvements from the likes of Hicks, Arcia and Gibson, and yet they conspired to go 37-63 in the last 100 games.
