Candy Cummings pitched 497 innings one season.  You just don't see that kind of stamina anymore.

Note to any young folks on the thread: Us old guys get a kick out of reminiscing about the Golden Days of Baseball, as you may have noticed... just let us know when we cross this threshold --

I had somewhat expected that the Gophers would finally schedule NDSU again since they moved up to FBS.  Maybe that will be in the works in the future.  Don't know if the Gophers would bite, but that would be a nice game to have at Target Field.

Randy Johnson 2001 World Series (Game 7) came out of the bullpen on zero days' rest after starting Game 6, pitching 1.1 scoreless innings to earn the win.

Note to the old folks - there's a chance I'm older.  (I know of a few that that's not the case.)

USD Coyotes beat Gophers in 2010 41-38.

Coyotes eat gophers across the US on a daily basis.

Last Twins pitcher to throw 200 innings+ was Berrios in 2019, 200.1 IP.

He's no Candy Cummings.

Speaking of the Coyotes.  They are holding their own on the Smurf Turf in Boise.  Only behind 14-21 at halftime.
