No, I meant it is not a consideration by the Twins.

They  care about development by Riley Quick, Vahn Lackey, and others but that is not in play with Walker Jenkins. He does not need more development time and the Twins are well aware of that. The reason Jenkins is not on the 26 roster now is Keaschall, Buxton, and Larnach. Those are tough decisions.

One time-tested management tactic is to wait a little while and it may become an easy decision.  Fewer mistakes that way.  😄

I think it is the reason. They don't want him sitting idle next year if there's a lockout.

In the end...doubtful that it is going to make a difference for the playoffs. I just would enjoy seeing him play as I have seen Culpepper who has pretty much done well....who will now have more experience for next year
