And if he plays hurt and keeps racking up negative WAR, what’s the difference?

Because the other team has to respect that he could break out during any PA...

Jenkins with another multi homer game, his third in the last two weeks.  I know the Twins want to ride with the players that have been there all season, but Jenkins is not making it easy for them.

No he is not making it easy for the Twins, but I think they like that. The thing I love about the way Jenkins is hitting now is that he is taking what the pitcher gives him. Outside pitch home run to left field at around 100 mph, pitch down in the strike zone is a 106 mph line drive to centerfield, and a pitch in his down and in the strike zone is a 108 HR to right field. Don't give him anything worth swinging at and he took two walks and stole a base too. Walker is hot right now.

Thank you for the update on his AB's.

They haven’t been pitching around him. Playing “careful” only makes sense if you can be productive doing it. He hasn’t been. It’s a gamble to think it will turn around, but one they’re willing to make apparently.

Agreed. I think the team wanted to see better swing selection, using all of the field a little more and, of course, more power.

And no steel attempt from Buxton. Again.

They can hype Buxton speed all day.  The truth is he has never been a base stealer.

A small group here want to get rid of him, and he's going to hit 25 bombs after a slow start.

And is second on the team in RBI's hitting typically hitting in the lower part of the lineup.  I think he is a good building block moving forward.
