Eventually you just gotta go for it. At least when Buck doesn't need to DH anymore. Don't want Wallner anywhere near the outfield in a close game. But he can DH..

Heading into this game he was still striking out around 30% of the time. We know he can hit monster home runs off AAA pitchers, but I think that the Twins want to see an decrease in strikeouts and a lot more singles and doubles before he gets called up.

I think that’s one of those downsides of having a young player - while they should have been calling, Keaschall also should have known that was the short stops…

There is no excuse for someone who has played baseball for several years, to not be able to call a pop fly and also for the other player to listen and to obey the player who has precedent on that pop fly. I don't know whose fault that play was, but it was a Little League mistake. Pitiful.

I hope you are not referring to Kreidler as young and you meant Keaschall.  Kreidler is not young any more.  This is the type of play that happens when you don't have a set lineup.  They need to stop playing musical chairs and go with an infield configuration for the rest of the year and see how it plays out.

Not comfortable with each other, which is why the Correa Buxton collision a year ago was so sad.

Will take advantage of this rain delay to say I’ve been watching the 1987 World Series games on YouTube - very fun to go back to!

Someone should start a list of the current roster that could beDFA’d and then traded for “cash considerations”…. and another list of who would not get “cash considerations “.

It's not rocket science. Call loudly and frequently for the ball. Give way to the player who has precedent if both call for the ball. That was not a pop up that neither player felt he could get and thus remained silent.

I still have yet to read the story, but this would be an interesting development and probably says something about where the progress of Ober will be.  Ober is making a claim that the baseballs are not being rubbed down enough, especially during a rainy game, such as his start in Boston.  Ober has filed a formal complaint with MLB.

I don’t think that’s fair - Gray who was pitching for the Red Sox agreed. Of all the games that should have been called for weather, that game is #1.
