Shelton let Prielipp stay in too long... but seems like folks only get mad at the manager for pulling the starter too early, not too late.

That has been a Shelty special in leaving the starters out there to get one or two extra outs when the numbers suggest he can get them.  With Ryan, Bradley, or even Ober, it has worked more often than not.  Didn't work tonight with Prielipp and Shelton should have seen it with the ominous fly balls that Prielipp was giving up in the prior inning.

At first.  There was a report earlier today that Lewis is starting to put in some work at first base.  It seems like they wanted to regain his confidence at the plate first, then introduce a new position for him to try out.  It does sound like they worked on his mechanics at the plate in St Paul as well.

It's interesting that the Twins have no interest in bringing Sabato up now or in the near future. I mean the Twins have used five different players at first and the Saints have used at least five different players there as well. There's no direction for first base right now.

For AAA, I'm seeing Sabato at 261 innings, Gonzalez at 114, Wagaman 94 (gone), and Fedko 26. Seems like it's mostly just Sabato and Gonzalez playing at 1B.

Exactly so what's the plan. They had Santana on a short deal and now they have Bell on a short deal. Clemens and Caratini aren't your regular first basement. I'm just saying there's no long term direction there.

First base is also said to be the least scouted and fastest position to learn so I don't know.

Putting a cap on any promotional giveaway is so lame. I understand the business behind it, but guarantee that anyone that enters the park on Saturday is guaranteed a Buck t shirt ya cheap Pohlads

Like I said there have been  so many first basemen over the years. He likely won't want to play first or won't stick. IMO

Someone should tell Royce what he wants and what will get him back to MLB are different things.

Pick one.
