Western SD Fan Verified Member Posted May 31 Posted May 31 This makes the decision to DFA SWR even more mind boggling and incredibly short-sighted. Yes, he may have been the worst starting pitcher in baseball prior to being demoted to the bullpen. You still need arms to get through the season. alskntwnsfn Verified Member Posted May 31 Posted May 31 Any time I see guys like Arcia getting ABs at 1B or Jason Tyners (to go way back) getting ABs at DH, it just makes me so frustrated. I mean I actually think Arcia is a pretty good hitter at this stage, but as a GM I would ALWAYS have a AAAA thumper or two ready to take those ABs. There’s probably a dozen guys we could have easily signed this offseason given the chance for playing time was so good here. But… go Twins hitterscount, Patzky and Hunter4848 3

Church of Kreidler Verified Member Posted May 31 Posted May 31 Hopefully Zebby keeps going strong the whole game. This roadtrip has really been a Tale of Two Starters - clean ones or messy ones, and nothing in between.
jaimedude Verified Member Posted May 31 Posted May 31 What a crappy inning. 1st pitch double play to Arcia, Larnach strikes out on 3 pitches. I know he was 1st round pick but Larnach should have been non-tendered like they did Eddie Rosario back in the day this off-season. Did Roden have surgery like ERod?
Hunter4848 Verified Member Posted May 31 Posted May 31 1 hour ago, karcherd said: So is Paredes the fifth starter, if so, he isn't stretched out. On days he pitches you will need 5 innings from the bullpen. This is the result of their awesome bulk pitcher strategy. You can read an article about how awesome the bulk strategy is from the Twins propaganda arm on this website right now USAFChief and HarmonK03 1 1

Patzky Old-Timey Member Posted May 31 Posted May 31 Walks will haunt. It will be good to be back in a full sized ballpark next week lol. Some of these shots just seem like fly outs.. Church of Kreidler 1

Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted May 31 Posted May 31 Just checking in... Clemens in CF, Arcia at 1B... yep, we've reached that portion of the season. USAFChief, alskntwnsfn, Hunter4848 and 1 other 2 2
Patzky Old-Timey Member Posted May 31 Posted May 31 This is where the difference between Behind and Unraveling occurs. This umpiring crew really blows with the game MGMT and ball strike calls. jaimedude and Church of Kreidler 2

Peter Verified Member Posted May 31 Posted May 31 This could get ugly!!! Especially after losing 2 one run games

hitterscount Verified Member Posted May 31 Posted May 31 Hit hard, but this strategy of bringing the infield in this early is idiotic… an out is so much more valuable than the run. Patzky, Hunter4848 and Parfigliano 3

Shelton sucks, i'm convinced he's instincts are as bad as Rocco Baldelli. This is a terrible 100 loss roster but he proved he was not a good manager in Pittsburgh. Twins took easy way out hiring him.
