Sorry but i want them both back to what we expected and so should they , Especially Lewis - very immature !!!!! I loved Plouffe’s idea of sending Wallner and Lewis to Fort Myers together. He’s correct, this team isn’t going anywhere without them figuring it out. Church of Kreidler and mrtwinsfan 2

Are the problems for Lewis and Wallner attitude or is it something else. I don't believe it is best to rub noses in it although maybe it makes fans feel better about themselves. I don't see any reason why both players can't reset in St. Paul facing the closest thing to major league pitching. LakesPibble and HarmonK03 2

I don't see any reason why both players can't reset in St. Paul facing the closest thing to major league pitching. I'm not sure it's sending a message as it is just to reset. If they went all the way down to Fort Myers, they could be away from the media and spend 2-3 weeks down there and then work their way back up after they spend time working on their swing, clearing their head, and maybe for Lewis, working on expanding his fielding to 1st base. The great part about having the AAA club in St. Paul is that you can quickly call up players or get pitching help. The detriment is that the AAA club is still in the media market as the major league club so there will be reports (probably including here) on how good or bad Lewis and Wallner are doing in St. Paul and whether they are finished as a player in the organization. This was one of the messages that Plouffe wanted to get across today when the news dropped. Twins_Fan_in_NJ 1
Permanent Twins Fan Verified Member Posted May 20 Posted May 20 Griffin Jax is through 5 inning of 1 run ball tonight versus the Rays. He has thrown just 62 pitches. Looks like he is finally getting his chance to start, and is running with it. Danchat 1
Patzky Old-Timey Member Posted May 20 Posted May 20 Confidence building inning for Zebby but very very long. He won't get to the fifth at this pitch count rate.
Patzky Old-Timey Member Posted May 20 Posted May 20 I hoped getting Martin out of the leadoff spot would break him out of his slump. Maybe it still will .. Church of Kreidler and mrtwinsfan 2
