Blyleven2011 Verified Member Posted May 17 Posted May 17 Royce had a chan e with 10 pitches , percentage goes up with that many pitches ,that's how bad royce is ... So sad ... Church of Kreidler and mrtwinsfan 2
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 17 Posted May 17 That at bat by Reacher Royce was not at all impressive because amount of pitches , he swung at maybe 1 strike , he gotta go down for a new approach Blyleven2011 1
Linus Verified Member Posted May 17 Posted May 17 Royce swing is long and kind of sloppy. He had a couple of really hittable pitches and fouled them off. He’s swinging like a guy with too heavy of a bat. jaimedude and Church of Kreidler 2
tony&rodney Verified Member Posted May 17 Posted May 17 Today, for the first time, I am feeling sorry for Royce Lewis. Five pitches right down the middle ... nothing. Maybe worse, Royce swings at four pitches well out of the strike zone and every swing was full pull with little awareness of what the pitcher was doing. Maybe he can turn it around, but Royce looks more unplayable than any guy on the roster and the coaches know that. Patzky, Church of Kreidler and Peter 3

Worse is the players also know it, although there's 3-4 other guys struggling just as bad. You're not going to win consistently with this much plate incompetence..... I guess most of us knew this coming out of spring training. mrtwinsfan 1

Western SD Fan Verified Member Posted May 17 Posted May 17 I am hoping that if/when they decide to send Lewis down, they will also instruct him to pick up a 1B glove and take some reps over there. Provided Culpepper sticks, that will likely be his one spot to stay on the team and maybe develop a little more trade value as he can play multiple positions if the Twins do end up writing him off. I think if Royce was going right, he makes that play where there was little chance that Lee could make it in any case. It does appear, that like Wallner did, he is taking his struggles at the plate out to the field as well.
Twins_Fan_in_NJ Verified Member Posted May 17 Posted May 17 They give out the defensive play of the game award way too early. It's only the third inning...
Linus Verified Member Posted May 17 Posted May 17 Good play by Luke. He has athleticism which gives hope he can become a good fielder.

Linus Verified Member Posted May 17 Posted May 17 Great swing by Clemens. Wasn’t a fan of him standing on second not paying attention to the overthrow.
