Will they call up Bowman or will they let him walk and keep riding the likes of Garcia and Topa.

They refuse to look at the best option which is Culpepper.  Lewis is getting to the point of being unplayable, but two weeks of Arcia or Gray over there and we are going to be complaining as well.

Arcia or Culpepper at s.s.   Lee at 3rd base  -   best defensive  option

I don't disagree.  However, at least Gray and Kreidler offer a glimmer of hope, which is more than we can honestly say about Lewis at this point in time.

Their career numbers are where Lewis is at right now.  They will have a good game here and there which is more than Lewis is giving us right now.

I am not in favor of moving Lee until there is a permanent solution like Culpepper.  He has been hitting well and his defense has improved over the last couple of weeks.  Arcia is not an improvement defensively over Lee.

They are on the clock.

I wonder who they would move for him.

Arcia isn't the answer, especially long term.... but agree, he very well could come up and give the team a boost in production for a couple of months and by then Cullpeper should be ready..... Guessing they want to maintain team control knowing this team isn't a serious threat to do anything.

I am referring to where he is now in his career not five years ago.

He has hit .200 the last two years and had to accept a minor league deal this offseason.  There is a pretty low bar to clear to be better than Lewis' s production right now.  But I would keep the expectations pretty low for any impact he might provide.

The original comment I responded to said he could provide a boost in production for a couple of months. He is not going to provide a boost for any amount of time that was the  point.  I am not arguing about moving Lewis but understand the options are not good.  That is why I think Culpepper is the best option because of his upside.

Three walks to the #8 hitter today.  Is it the .198 batting average or the .525 OPS that has them so intimidated?
