It doesn't say but I presume it's due to low pay?

This is already by far the least popular of any of the state's professional ownership groups, how can they be this tone deaf?

I'm not sure how many concession workers there are, but I know a lot of the stands are just run by random service groups that come in and get an itty-bitty fraction of the profits for their charity. I'd bet good money the Pohlad's will just make all the concession workers voluntary service group workers.

This is what I thought based on my trips to Target Field.  Maybe the concession workers consist of the various chefs, cooks, and other workers that need to prep the work areas for the volunteers to work?  I'm not sure about this at all.

This is not a Pohlad issue. Delaware North is who they work for.

Searching 'news' on Delaware North, just about every 'article' is written by something called Delaware North Newsroom.

Dump this company ASAP.

Back when I was unemployed back in 2019 I applied for a job through them. A month later they were advertising on social media begging for workers. I never heard back from them at all.

according to this it’s pay and benefits.

As the other poster mentioned Delaware North is the employer. Delaware North is the Food Service Concessionaire. All of the stand branding and menu is done between the brand owner and Delaware North. Red Cow is the logo and recipe, Delaware north is the beef, heat, and flipping.

Delaware North buys the food, pays the cooks, and has a huge logistics network. Think about how much refrigeration is needed to feed 20,000 people just one night. That means Nightly deliveries, moving pallets and pallets of food and beer 81 nights per season all over the concourses.

its hundreds of people, most of whom work before and after the game.

Please don't cross the line when they strike

I share a season ticket.  I’m still going to the games.
When I go to the concession stands, I ask if the person working there is an employee or a volunteer.  I do NOT tip the volunteers, who make money for unspecified charities.  At least one has been a cult.
I tip the working stiff, and will continue when they return from the strike.
