Now both teams have been thrown out on a wacky play at third as well as thrown out by a country mile at home in this game.  If you like aggressive baserunning, this is a game for you

That was a poor send considering Guerrero Jr. is coming up. Also that play reminded me of Gary Sanchez being called for blocking home on less of a block of the plate. FWIW, it would be egregious to call blocking there.

Very interesting decision to walk Betts to load the bases there (obvi walking Shohei was automatic).  Does gaining the platoon advantage outweigh putting yourself in a spot where you lose with a walk or HBP?  I don't know what to think about that.

They started treating Ohtani like a 15 year old with a forged birth certificate in the Little League World Series, only this is the actual World Series.  Nine times on base.  He is unreal.  I'm sure he'll pitch lights out tomorrow

Hopefully it was a strategy to wear down Ohtani, since he is scheduled to start tonight. Combined with it being a close game.
