I would think the interim manager would be Jayce Tingler for the remainder of the season.  I would love to see Toby Gardenhire maybe get a chance and bring his father as an advisor/bench coach, similar to what Derek Shelton did for Rocco in 2019.

Make CC playing manager, at least it would be interesting.

Rocco isn’t going anywhere-if he goes so does falvey. They’re a package deal. Just need to get healthy. Twins aren’t as bad as all of you make them out to be.

I tend to agree that the Twins aren't as bad as we suggest in these threads.  I also stand by the statement that I don't think Rocco is getting the most out of this team, regardless of how many players are injured.

They are worse.  Much worse.  Pretending they aren't only hurts you.

Serious question-What if Vikings have bad season? Sell the team and fire KOC?

Serious question-what does "sell the team" have to do with anything?

That's a decision made by ownership. Long before the season started, BTW.

Their starting pitcher at game time had an ERA of 6.19 in 4 starts, not bad enough I guess for us to generate some offense.

He's returning from surgery. What down to 4.7 now? They can go down too?

This is an honest question for all the TD members. If the twins do fire Rocco, who would take his place? I'm not saying they should or shouldn't; I'm just curious about who it would be. Interim coach first, and then a full-time coach named later?

Well...they renewed his contract recently. Would they not have to pay him for next year if he was fired?

I’m trying to stay in a positive place, but truth is there’s been at least 3 stretches of Twins baseball this season that, on their own, would have seriously put the Manager on the hot seat if not cost him his job in more competitive/demanding markets. I’m not moving to one of those, so I am riding this out like I always have. Just hope the change comes soon.

Likely 41-46 after today. 9 games before ASG - Rays, Cubs, Pirates.

Thoughts on record at the break? Keep in mind our winning percentage has been around .360 lately.

Everyone on here seems to hate twins like Facebook does and everything’s Vikings are the best. Way way way too much Vikings love. Seriously we all must support the twins win or lose no matter what!!!

We dont know when the Twins renewed his contract. We only know when the beat reporter's report came out.

For that matter, AFAIN the Twins haven't confirmed (or denied) the report.

Good.  Can we trade that talent for someone at the local county fair that has a watermelon spitting contest?  I'm sure the winner of that contest would manage the Twins the same way that Rocco does.

Question of the year! Hilarious!

Yes, the Twins would be on the hook for next year. The only time they wouldn't have to pay him is if there was a breach of contract of some sort, which is typically rare. If he gets fired this year and gets a job next year, it would reduce the amount the Twins would have to pay him. If this makes sense.

Understandable. Are you big into Minor Leagues or prospects?

1 hit off a guy with a 6.19 ERA, absolutely embarrassing.

Unwatchable. Very bad.
