Lewis officially on the 10-day IL.  Claim it's in a different spot and not as bad as his earlier hamstring injury.  Probably for the best as maybe they will let him recover fully before coming back to the team.

Saints lineup looks to have all the 40 Mann roster fellas in it. Game time at 6:05 PM so that could change.

Yes. But it was a problem today. Folks act like Houston pitching should have deserved the loss. No different. Man, that last pitch was center center, with a runner on third. And if you haven't been noticing how much the batters touch the ball against Duran, you haven't been paying attention. Sure, soft contact, fouls, ground balls, balls hit to the wall....... lots of contact and less swing and miss. It baffles me, considering how much his pitches move. Hey, some pitcher was gonna give it up. No one was warming up. Hader was going to go in the 10th. That was a 3 out game to extend to the 10th, and our stud gave up a walk and 2 hits.

The Twins still have a better record than Kansas City. I would not have bet that in early May. Long season to go.

Everyone has their thoughts. I would prefer Varland in 9th inning because Duran is seemingly more likely to strike people out which is critical with the ghost runner starting on second base. However, the Twins may feel Louis is more likely to succeed versus a guy starting on 2nd base than Jhoan. Mute point because Cam Smith is showing his stuff less than one year since being drafted.

The biggest injustice of this game was that one of the starters didn't get the win.

And really it doesn't matter when Duran came into pitch. If it went to extras, the Twins probably don't even advance the Ghost runner and they lose in 10.

I would certainly hope so, but I can also see the ML club panicking like they did the last time and bring him back up too fast again.

Was this the game to declare that after? This was a great pitching game, from both sides, and competitive to the end. Our closing stud just didn't do it, tonight, and their's did. Reverse that and was it still an AAA team, tonight?
