Western SD Fan Verified Member Posted June 11, 2025 Posted June 11, 2025 Likely we will have to see another turn or two through the rotation with SWR. Maybe we will have to consider an Adams or McCaughan call up to use as an opener for a bullpen game.

I understand they are out of options with him. But at what point do you just have to give up and throw in the towel on him. Alcala can't even get through a mop-up role at this point. Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2025 Posted June 11, 2025 We're at nearly a half season of Alcala sustaining a 7.60 ERA... enough is enough. Time for him to get a reset in another organization. Western SD Fan, IndyTwinsFan, Parfigliano and 1 other 4

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2025 Posted June 11, 2025 Poor guy, I don’t know how you keep him on the roster at this point. If you can’t mop up then..
Parfigliano Verified Member Posted June 11, 2025 Posted June 11, 2025 2 minutes ago, thelanges5 said: The other Alcala is back. Can we be done with him already? SWR throws 93mph and Alcala 98. Both get lit up. It's not how fast you throw that matters it's how your ball moves and where it ends up in the strike zone. These guys throw middle middle with predictable results knothole61 1

Good gracious. Matt Belisle in 2018 had a similar 9.15 ERA in 23.2 innings. I remember how infuriating that was.
