On September 1 the roster goes to 28. Who’s getting added?

We are a week away from the MLB rosters expanding. The time is now to get your best players up. Any thoughts or rumors on who the Twins add? Varland and Keirsey make sense but open to all ideas and/or rumors.

The best two players that could be added are Byron Buxton and Carlos Correa. I think Varland comes back as a reliever just before the Cleveland series in mid September.

Buxton, Correa and Lee are close to returning - Margot and Farmer DFA'd?? More likely Julien and Martin get returned to St. Paul.

The BP needs help, Paddack is close, and he and Varland did enough in BP roles last year. Winder should also be considered.

Sorry, but I don't see Kiersey in the mix

Martin outplaying Margo .....but I agree, he'll be sent down. Gotta keep the veterans. Farmer can't play SS or hit, but sure, they should totally keep him.

They are?

Lee will likely be activated Monday. 

 

Who knows on Buxton and it doesn't sound like Correa is anywhere close.

Given the non-moves today I’ll say Lee and Varland.

I think Buxton will give it a try by September 1. If not him, then whoever gets sent down when Lee is activated (Martin or Julien). Josh Winder might be up before the first of the month. If not him, Varland makes sense.

I hear this Hrbek kid is tearing it up at A Ball in Visalia. And there's a Laudner kid with 40 some HR's in Orlando.
